Yeah I saw both of those.

I keep wondering why they think we are the oddballs.

It's just common sense to not spend more than you earn and to put away a rainy day fund?

I think in the past, before most women started working, that most people were living in a pretty frugal way. As far as I know society was functioning, but people were not very rich. I guess the stock market would go down if too many people would stop buying stuff they don't really need.
