I'm glad she has the retirement she deserves, but sad I won't get to read her blog/see her as much on TV anymore, all at once. Gail's TV shows have been part of my financial wake-up call, a few years ago. Her shows have motivated me to prioritize, to adopt a no-nonsense approach to my finances, and to get rid of my student loans and debts in 3 years or less.
I was answering the topic on Rent-to-Income ratio earlier today, and I was still thinking about her ''Life Pie'' chart while doing so. Over the years, financial bloggers I've read and advisors I've met all have helped me to educate myself about finances and to manage them more wisely. But Gail had a special influence on me. I have never met her, but for some reason, I think of her as a dear friend, because her words have changed my life for the better.
So, good for her, and I'll sure miss her blog posts (but thankfully, she's very active on Twitter). :)
