A daily newsletter about kind, gentle and sustainable living
« on: October 06, 2016, 02:47:42 AM »
Hey everyone!

I'm launching a daily newsletter about sustainable, gentle, and kind living.

(And of course, with anti-consumerist mustachian content)

It's very early days and I appreciate that signing up for it is a bit of a leap of faith, but I thought it's something that some people here might be interested in!

Any support/interest is incredibly appreciated.

The emails should be starting early next week :)

Love the idea, but I'm sure there is a reddit sub for this already (r/uplifting news)?

You gotta fix the typos too... we're a pedantic bunch

Quote
*It has been three years since the last case of malaria in Sri Lankat. This is a remarkable public health achievement
* There were often 1 million cases of malaria per year in the 1940’s in Sri Lanka. A huge effort almost suceeded in eradicing disease but this failed after it ran out of money and cival worse arrose.
* Since 2000 malaria cases have dropped because the government (with donar help) deployed a range of stratergies including indoor spraying, bed nets, and effective diagnoses and treatment kits.

Hi Marty,

Oh wow. Those typos are seriously embarrassing. Thanks for pointing them out and will be much more more careful in the future.

You're completely right. There are lots of great subreddits with similar themes and really the idea is to find great content from a lot of different sources and deliver it in a convenient way each day.

The inspiration for this was from futurism.com 's great daily email, and wishing there was something like that for sustainable/gentle living themes.

At this point it's all just a bit of fun to see if there is any interest :)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
