Pete, Paula Pant, The Mad Fientist and Doug Nordman (Nords) were all in attendance and may post something related in the coming weeks.
It's on my editorial calendar for late June or early July, but I haven't drafted it yet.
I had an awesome time meeting the people behind the poster names, and my legs are still recovering from the four-mile
staircase moshpit hike up Mt. Si. Going down was almost as bad on the quads as going up was on the hamstrings.
Arebelspy and his spouse had wonderful advice on their FI finances (and travel) and Paula had a lot of good info about rental properties. (She beta-tested part of her upcoming real estate course on us.) The Mad FIentist also recorded a podcast (with a live and mostly sober audience!) but I don't know when that will be out.
Most of all, the best part of the entire weekend (nearly 24 hours/day) was being able to sit at a table over various snacks & beverages to continue the discussion or start a new one. I learned a lot.
The weather was not especially warm (by my standards), but the resort is heated. It was not as chilly as I feared. Hummingbirds and deer frolicked around the grounds.
It's the most affordable and most bang-for-the-buck conference that I've been to yet. I don't want to hog the tickets, but my spouse and I would like to return next year!
