"The Life-Changing Art of Not Giving a F$*("

This doesn't address financial issues as much as it addresses not staying in soul-crushing jobs, not devoting time to things that don't matter, and how to clear your mind of "clutter."

I liked that article. I've never really been someone to give too much of a fuck but its good to reinforce how stupid it is to worry about so much stuff that some people find important.

Wow, a lot of negative comments on the bottom. I thought it was interesting.

I wore my pyjamas to the shop last week, to be fair all my nightwear is black, navy or dark grey so it wasn't noticeable. I just dressed them up with a long necklace and a matching bag. Lol.

I think some of her insights about work are well-crafted:
"I stopped caring about sales conferences. I stopped thinking about business-casual and town-hall meetings (in fact, I no longer know what these are). I stopped keeping track of my remaining holiday days like a prisoner tallying her sentence in hash marks on the cell-block wall."

She briefly discusses how when she quit her job she didn't just snap her fingers and have everything fall into line at once; it took some time and effort.

I have a friend who's a psychiatrist who's reading the book...

Those comments about work really resonated with me. I have those meetings excluding the sales conferences but there are so many stupid meetings that I don't give a fuck about.

Got you beat--all of my PJs are beat-up sweatpants and t-shirts.  I put on some underwear and sneakers and I'm good to go.  :D

Huh. Comments sections on internet articles fall very far into my don't give a fuck category. I liked the "not sorry" bit. Why feel sorry for honestly not liking something? I've accepted this more and more as I've gotten older as well. I really liked how she relayed this to friends, honest, yet polite. Going to work on that.

There are a lot of good things to stop giving a fuck about, and some bad ones. Everyone is different, but the benefits of exercise are significant. Probably not something you should stop giving a fuck about.

I think some people end up caring less as they get older, for me it was around age 35 when I stopped caring as much about what people thought.

Yay!:)

You wear underwear?

I'd say you probably need to loosen up some.  Y'know, don't give so many F$*(s, whatever the hell those are.
