I'm wondering what peoples opinion is when selling items on kijiji (I'm from Canada so I don't use craigslist).  I'm selling 200 DVDs and I'm not so worried about the money, it would just be nice to get rid of them and make space.  If I sell them all for $60 ($0.30 each) with the amount of work I put into it it's about $60/hour I made.  Where as if I sell them individually to people or who want 5/10 at a time, it'll eat up a lot of my time with emails, people not showing up, having to repost the ad etc.  So even though it hurts to sell them all for only $60 I think I'm make the best use of my time.   I can use the time to study or spend time with my wife instead.

What do you all think?  Is the extra money worth it?  I don't think so.

I sell ours to a second hand electronics store, New2You, in Hamilton.  Last I checked they were buying the ones they wanted for 50 cents each.  And they wanted most of them.  Anything like that where you are?

You have to make this decision yourself. You said you don't want the money, so you can sell it all for $20 and the space/mental improvement from not having to deal with them can be worth it.

I re-sell online and my threshold on profit from a sale is around the $5 mark. The "I make more money by working" argument is bogus unless you're actually able to work extra overtime with no cap. This is also cash, not income from an employer,  so the $60/hr is amazing compared to anything you're likely to get.

Some dude who runs a fleamarket stand would like to get these for $1/per or under, but I think your $60 is reasonable.

I find it is faster to list items on Ebay.
Take a few photos of the entire lot, put down the entire list of titles, and start the bidding at $60.
Let the winning bidder pay for shipping.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
