Hello- Thought I'd put this out here since i can't find that anyone else has. I work from home and the DSL available in my area is very slow (5mbps down / .25 mbps up) and goes down a lot. A couple months ago I purchased a visible wireless phone with unlimited data and tethering. Visible uses the Verizon network and from my understanding, the company was actually started by Verizon.
I have used the service for work for long enough now that I feel comfortable recommending it to others.
I have been averaging about 10mbps down and 10 mbps up and used about 55-60GB/month. They say they cap tethering to 5mpbs down/up, although I haven't seen that yet. Even if they do eventually put in the cap, that's still way way higher on the upload than my .25 on the DSL.

So far I've been really happy with the service. It is a budget service however, so there are no stores to go to for help, and online support is pretty slow. Currently I'm only using the visible phone for data. I have Republic Wireless for my main cell number, so I haven't used the actual phone service from Visible much.
