Selling a folding bike? Mine got stolen : ( - San Francisco
« on: February 25, 2015, 10:34:33 AM »
Hi there-

I'm traveling for work for the next year and a half, and got a super-cute Brompton to bring around with me for it's portability. I was chained up outside of Rainbow Foods on Sunday night and it poofed out of there in 15 minutes. Jerks.

Kinda serves me right for getting something nice. I've done all of the police report filing, tweeting, etc.

I need to get another foldable bike asap. To be honest, I'm hesitant to use craigslist, the postings I've contacted have turned sketch and I've heard so much bad stuff about stolen bikes here the last thing I want is to buy someone else's stolen bike. If anyone here has one they're trying to part with, or a recommendation for something cheap they could recommend (I'm not going fancy-pants again), I'd be much obliged!

I was looking at Citizen Bike, but I can't find many online reviews. The cheapest new Dahon is $375. I'd like to get something small and foldable for easy travel and something with gears so I can do hills.

Appreciate it! Please let me know!

Actually I do have a pair of almost new folding Citizens.

We used then to put in the airplane.. only used them half a dozen times.

I also travel a bit for work to so I might be able to hand carry them to SFO in the next couple of months.

I am up in Corvallis, Oregon if your still looking.
