I have a friend in Ft Collins who's looking to rent out a room in her basement. She's hoping for a female roommate, ideally no pets or maybe a cat. Cost is in the ballpark of $600/mo for a room, own bathroom and shared kitchen. Not sure how the utility sharing is. Reasonable walking distance (<1mile) to the main public transit line, ditto a couple grocery stores, restaurants etc. <5 miles to downtown, library, or the foothills (ie mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing). FtC is thick with breweries, so certainly a number in easy biking distance too. Would be ideal for a Mustachian who is hoping to live for a little bit in the area to see if it's right, or starting out and saving $ by not having her own place, or spending a few months looking for a job (or not!).
