Megabus $1 tickets TODAY
« on: October 17, 2013, 05:20:57 PM »
Megabus just posted routes for Dec. 10 - Jan. 7. On all their routes, the first two or three tickets sold are $1 each, and they're going fast (I only got 2 of the 4 I was hoping for, but I'm still pretty happy with that!).

If you're looking to make holiday travel plans, now would be the time to jump on it.

I found that there $1 bus tickets goes pretty fast so you probably have to book way in advance. There are $5 tickets as well if all the buck ticktets are gone. But overall the Megabus service is not bad at from my experience when we travel from LA to SF. I will definitely use them again

I also have used the LA-SF Bay route, and the service is totally fine. But wow those cheap tickets go fast. Then the prices seem to jump quite a bit to around $35. I just checked recently after a few months of not using Megabus, and was shocked to see prices in the $70 range. This is really tipping the scale back to flying, when I evaluate price vs. trip-time.

I bought a ticket from SF --> LA on megabus a week ahead of time, for a trip in mid-december last year.  Cost me $22.  Free wifi on-board, and it was a nice clean double-decker bus with a nice bathroom.  I would totally do megabus again.  Wouldn't have made it to LA all that much faster if I had a car and drove; we got there in about 6.5h including a 30min stop halfway for lunch.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
