Looking for Work and/or Place to Stay in PDX Area
« on: February 19, 2017, 04:26:18 PM »
I'll be moving to Portland in April and looking for a place to stay and a job in either graphic or web design.  I can use Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, I've used Premiere and After Effects, though it's been a bit) and CorelDRAWX4.  For web, I have almost completed the FreeCodeCamp program for front end, so I know HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and can use APIs.

As a roommate, I'm 26, male, single, quiet, tidy, and can cook and clean.  I don't plan on having a relationship or bringing anyone home with me, but we can talk it out if that changes.  I won't be bringing much, just a carry-on bag and trying to go carless if at all possible. My hobbies are art, jogging, and loose leaf tea.  I don't really know what I want in a roommate, if you're looking for a buddy or someone who just pays rent every month, I'm okay with either.

Other things you might need to know.  I socked away enough money so that if I don't find anything right away, rent wouldn't be an issue.  I have some friends who live up in Vancouver, WA but are becoming foster parents so I can't stay with them.  They'd like me to live nearby, so I'd be fine with staying up that way as well if I can find work up there as well.   I have another friend who said I could possibly stay with his family in Woodburn and might know some job opportunities in Salem.  I'm not too sure about that offer since it would be harder to get around, though I'm not too sure about the area (though same goes for Vancouver).  If you have any leads in either, I can PM you my LinkedIn, Behance, CodePen, or whatever other info you need.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
