This is a really good book. It describes how the world is currently very oriented towards humanism and  individuals. In the (near) future we make ourselves more and more dependent on data and the internet. We will rely on computer algorithms to do everything better than us. Humans will also in time improve themselves into better humans, homo deus, by using biotechnology.

Anyone else who finds this a good book?

For those looking for the book, there is typo. Homo, not home, and so translates loosely from Latin as 'Man as God'. Thank you Linda for the reference.

Homo Deus is excellent! Harari's earlier book, Sapiens was interesting, as well.

Thanks, fixed it.

According to the writer, humans are turning into gods. We can conquered deceases and starvation. We can transport ourselves over long distances in very short time. And maybe soon, we might conquer death as well. Those were thing the old mythical gods could do.

Just cracked this one open yesterday.  I enjoyed Sapiens, looking forward to reading his thoughts about the future.
