Title: Gift Suggestion for a College Graduate?
Post by: tralfamadorian on April 09, 2017, 04:30:07 PM
I have an employee graduating from college next month and I would like to at least let her know about the framework of FIRE.  That it's a possibility.  How it works.  The nudge towards the aha moment I wish someone had given me at her age.  She has talked about trying to avoid education debt and wanting to avoid a materialistic lifestyle.  I've brought up MMM casually in a related conversation and sent her the link for the website.

I'm very left brained and have never really connected with the most popular of the books that people bring up as pivotal for them like rich dad/poor dad, the four hour workweek, etc.  To me they come across as repetitive and patronizing.  I'm more of the give me the spreadsheet and show me the math kind of person.  My employee, however, is the exact opposite- very right brained and empathetic.

What book would you recommend that I give her for graduation?
