The best FAMILY bike - ever?!

Came across this today, and thought it was a pretty neat concept. I don't think I would want to pay $600 for it though :/

I saw a similar machine on the boardwalk at Coney Island last summer- it didn't have the whole cabbie covering up top on the front though.   A toddler was sitting in the front seat and an 8 year old was driving the thing! I was impressed by it, and would consider this for my family if we didn't have to carry all our bikes upstairs...

I would shop around before going with a kickstarter that is premised on building a cheaper version of something that already exists. http://www.christianiabikes.com/en/ If a bike like this would allow you to transport your self and your kids and some groceries without a car, the price could be much higher and still be a bargain.  But a bargain price is likely to be inferior and not support any of the above goals, so it may be more costly than a bike that is 2 - 3 times more expensive.
Best wishes -Ap

The problem with these bikes is that they are one dimensional, either you are stuck with a bike that is wide and awkward when you just need a bike or you have another bike in the garage. I would like to see a 4-kid bike trailer.
