One of the things that I like about raising my kids here in Italy is that private schools are rare.  The only ones that I know of here in Italy are either international school (the American school, the French school etc etc.), Catholic or other religious schools or special schools such as the Rudolf Steiner school.  A lot of elite Italians send their kids to international schools so that they learn good English but most people, including most rich people just send their kids to the local public schools.  This means less class division and more powerful parents demanding the public schools are decent.

If we could afford an international English language school I might consider it.  But we can't so it's off the table.
