Another Hypnobabies Question
« on: July 04, 2014, 02:43:10 PM »
There is an evening class nearby that is about $100 more than the homestudy course (assuming I buy it new). It looks like partners are encouraged to attend the class, but my partner will be home with our preschooler while I'm at the course ... Makes me wonder if the in-person course is worth the extra expense if it's meant for both of us but only one of us goes.

WDYT? Is your partner taking the course a make-it-or-break it requirement? (FWIW, MH was a rock during labor, but pretty shaky during delivery! Our doula was priceless as support for both of us!)

Any chance you could work something out with a friend or family member to watch the older one so your partner could go? I did not do this program, but it seems like it would make it more useful for you to have the person who will (hopefully) be supporting you be at the classes too so they know how to help you.

We could ask my parents to babysit, but we usually tap them for help once a week anyway, when I have to work late or go to an event.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
