(T)Winning!
« on: February 07, 2015, 06:54:53 PM »
I've been lurking for a couple of months, but this is my first post!

We have 2 year old b/g twins. I just wanted to share a couple of our recent Mustachian wins:

- Sold our (bought used) Twin stroller for the same amount we purchased it for ~ 2 years ago when our twins were itty bitty
- Made Valentines for the little's class (don't get me started) using stuff I had on hand plus a $2.50/bag of Hersheys' Kisses
- Due to the use of cloth diapers, we haven't bough 'sposies in over 6 weeks. We bought our cloth diapers new (again, pre-MMM), but will be able re-sell our stash for about half the price. I figure that by the time our kids are potty trained, we will save saved over $3,000 in diaper costs (not to mention the landfill!).

What are your Mustachian wins?

Ok, and I'm super-nerdy for replying to my own post, but I realized that my nerd-ness has been inadvertently revealed via my first post name: (T)Winning!

- My name, Geostache, is based on my former life as a geologist. Twinning is the name given for the growth pattern for a mineral when it grows with an identical twin on the opposite growth plane.
- I am a mom of twins (which was the obvious intent)
- A vague pop-culture reference to Charlie Sheen (I'm not proud of that one)
- Winning on the front of saving money a la MMM (intended in original post).

A quadruple-entendre, perhaps? Yeah. I guess I'll go with that one. :-)

No shame for the Charlie Sheen reference.  I still love the auto-tune of that interview by the Gregory Brothers.

We have twins as well, so I totally "get" your post.  It really is the little successes that matter when you're juggling two!  Great job!
