Hi. I'm in. Looking forward to it. I was also surprised not more responses yet. I was only aware because I am friends with B_J on FB and saw her post in my feed. I otherwise would have missed it entirely. I am not very FB active/literate.  Maybe lots of people not even aware?

Anyway, I am looking forward to it; DH and I have Asheville on our short list for FIRE locations, so can't wait to hear more about it from you ASR.

Yay! I'm extra glad I have you on facebook then =)

Everyone in the group *should* have been notified when Freckles created the event, but FB can be weird sometimes =\

Yes - got the notification, so it's there. With a bunch of others I have overlooked. Wish I could prioritize FB notifications like I do my outlook email.
I'll bring cornbread and a salad.
A little chatter should help. The link to the business insider article was a great idea.

We're bringing a pumpkin pie. Its a giant one from Costco.

Ali said it's too early in the season, but I said it was delicious, so here we are.

I side with you. It is never too early for a costco pumpkin pie.

Did you get whipped cream?

Not yet, but it's on the list to get before we show up.

What kind of person do you think I am, madam?

A great afternoon had by all I think.. Lots of great food and pumpkin pie..Yum.

Thanks to Freckles and Hubby for being great hosts.. To Flower for sitting on my lap for some love and to all those for not laughing at my impromptu striptease.. I was convinced a wasp flew down the back of my shirt!

If your a fan of the movie Galaxy Quest you can say in your best Alan Rickman voice "I see you managed to get your shirt off!"

Good Luck to Bracken Joy's other half on his Professional Engineering exam in October.. Its a tough one, I've done it!

Hey Portland folks! Does anyone know of anyone with a room for rent? B and I are looking for a place to stay late October - mid April. We are on a tight budget, but we are both very handy and happy to do /help with any maintenance or construction you might need.

Thanks!!

Yes indeed! I started a facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1955521104688487/ That being said- it needs meetups! Feel free to organize one =) We just need to get the ball rolling.

Portland specifically also has a group- https://www.facebook.com/groups/706232302826090/

Hi!

Yes, we do have a Facebook page for the Portland area.  No meetups currently in the planning stages as far as I know.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
