Saying Hi!  I'm in the North part of St. Paul.  Anyone interested in table top games?  It's a great way to meet without spending much money.

What table tops do you do? I was briefly into warmachine and have a half painted set.  Always up for a good game!

More like Elder signs, some euro games.  Haven't painted minatures for a while - short on time!

Have fun MN mustachians, wish I could make it but it is too far and I'm preggers so no drinks for me. Any east metro folks out there? We're in Lakeland.

I'm in the far east metro too-just a few miles south of you.

I am in the SW burbs - Minnetonka / Eden Prairie. I am free most of the day (ironic isn't it).

Anybody score tickets to the free Imagine Dragons w/ Atmosphere concert?

I was clicking right at 10am when they came on sale.  No dice though, site was bogged down and I couldn't get through.

Hello Twin Cities Mustachians! I'm new to Mustachianism and very new to this forum. I live in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. If there are any meetups being planned, I'd love to join in. Thanks!

I later learned that people with all-start game tickets got first dibs, then Imagine Dragons did a presale for their fan club, as well as how many were given to sponsors.  I feel there were very few that were actually available for us common folk.

I just joined the forums.  I live in WBL and work in Lake Elmo.  I have three kids-- but can make some time on Thursdays if it is a regular meetup.  Speaking of kids, I feel guilty not giving them everything they want, even though I know it is anti-m.  I think it is because I can't spend the time with them so all I got is money.  I am trying to change my mindset to every time I spend money that is adding the time it takes to retirement.  They are 10, 5, and 2 so already missing out and not likely t be reitred until 7-9 years from now at my best estimation. Anyone else a mom and struggling here?

Dang, I haven't checked this thread in a while and missed the first meet up.

I know summers are tough for people so lets do a weeknight meet up soon! Maybe happy hour time to save some cash? Say 4:30? It looks like we have people east and west. How about W.A. Frost in St. Paul. They have a nice patio and would be relatively quite compared to inside a bar/restaurant.

How about this Thursday the 17th? I can call and make reservations if they take them for the patio.

Awww, I already have plans all this week.  Looks like a nice place though!  I'm more free in August, so will probably make any happy hours then.

I could meet at W.A. Frost on Thursday, but I couldn't be there until probably 7 PM. Rocketrex, do you think you'd still be there at that time?

I guess it depends on if others can do the earlier happy hour time.

Are there others out there that are flexible during the day? My preferred time would be during the day sometime but I assumed most people couldn't do that.

I am available most of the day.

But I am on the west side - Minnetonka.

Isn't W.A. Frost expensive?

There is BOGO pizza deal at Pairings tonight (Tuesdays). They also have some happy hour drink specials.

The have great gourmet pizzas - about $12 (you would get two).

I am open to anything - but St Paul is a little too far.

Isn't Pairings in Hopkins? I'd say that is definitely further away from the East siders than Grand Ave is from the West siders. No?

I've found that when planning gatherings like these with local groups, it is best to look at the cities as the 494/694 loop. This would put the "center" of the metro at about 94 and 280. So basically anything around that point will usually get the most attendance.

Tuesdays would work for me as well, so Tue or Thur.

Thursday the 17th is Bike Night at the MIA. It's free, there's beer to be purchased and fun to be had. I'll be there. If anyone else is interested in going, let me know!

Bike Night at MIA sounds great! I'm in.

I'll bike over from work, and will probably arrive at MIA between 6:15 and 6:30 tomorrow evening. Any ideas on how the mustachians can find and recognize each other? My bike is red with yellow fenders. I'm tall and have a beard (that probably doesn't help much). I can PM my phone number to whoever will be there.

Should be fun!

Bike night sounds awesome, but I have a meeting tonight.  I'd be up for a meetup at a park sometime, especially if kids are welcome...  was just looking at this site the other day:  http://www.mplsmusicandmovies.com/  so many nights of free music!

Also hi to the new people - I live in NE Mpls and have a 3 1/2 year old with another one the way in ...  12 weeks?

@Shelly - that is really tough about working, especially with the little one.  Don't suppose there is any scenario where you could take a couple years off?  I get all kinds of shit (from my family mostly) about not "using my degree" (engineering), but I'm much happier being broke and staying at home.  I watch other people's kids for extra cash, it's actually pretty good money and SO nice for the kids to play with each other, I'd say it is usually easier than just staying home with my own alone.

Definitely. I went to the bike event last year and it's not like people are riding their bikes around. Bikes get piled off to the side and people mingle. I'll be arriving on foot with my dog. See you there!

Just a heads up though, there already is a Mustache Brewing Company, they are located in NY. I would hate for anyone looking to join us to somehow wind up in the wrong state :-).

Been reading up to get caught up on the blog for the past month and just joined the forum today. Very interested in meeting up if the group gets together again. Live in the Robbinsdale area near Victory Memorial Pkwy currently until I find a house significantly closer to my work and can get rid of a vehicle.
