Hi everyone, i'm new here.  Just wondered if there was a thought about another meet up?  I can meet after 7 pm in the evenings, thinking about FIRE soon and worried about what's next and what to do with my days beyond netflix :)

Hi Tigermom!  General poll: how did/does everyone feel about Yonge & Eg (where we met last month) vs. the PATH near Union Station (where we usually meet)?  Would people prefer to do something near Union this time (or in another part of the city)?

I like both locations. Was nice not to be squatting and a bit further north was handy for me in coming from suburbs. Central is also nice, and I usually combine with some other fun while out. So no strong preference from me

If there is another Meetup, I’d be game, after the 25th

I'm definitely not free until mid-May... And things could be complicated until July. But I think that my Tuesday and Friday evenings will be free, and I know that my Wednesday free night always used to conflict with someone else's schedule.

But I'd be happy to come uptown a little bit!

Hi Okits et al.  I would love the downtown union meetup, it would be fastest after putting the tigerbaby down, and I can be flexible to suit group needs as well :)

It has been at least a month since last meetup, would be good time for another one?
How about a Thursday evening (or any day of the week) in the next couple of weeks? I'm very flexible, and pulled a day of the week out of a hat

May I suggest the arrivals gate? Thursday May 10th early afternoon is an excellent time to visit the arrivals area.

LOL.  I'm also good for the last week of May, though I realize that's a month away.  (I'm also fine if I miss the next one.)

Ok, how about Friday May 11th evening then? Would that work for some sufficiently large quorum of people? Asking @Tigermom as well, since she first asked about another meetup.

Is the 11th generally good? I guess it's probably  too early in year for reliable outdoor meetup
Have met previously at a location downtown in the Path near Union station. We can do that, or somewhere with drinks/food depending on how many people.

(I'm happy to meet meet earlier for a drink)

Yes, the 11th is good, as is the 10th, which is not a weekend night :)  7 pm works as if it is downtown I can scoot over after putting baby to bed.

PATH location with the sofas / sitting area? (Someone had a good description of how to find it before).

Prospector - I am open to bringing a selection of cheeses if you're up for bringing me a 4 or 6 pack of Aussie Bundaberg ginger beer? I would also pay you for the ginger beer.

CanuckExpat - I'm happy to do the Path location with the sofas by the elevators.

Let's do 6:00 PM on the 11th then, at the PATH location then. Hopefully early enough for people coming straight after work, and we'll probably around enough for people joining after. Works for people?

Copying and pasting description from last time:
First Canadian Place (BMO) in the PATH level, around the corner adjacent to the LCBO there are nice round soft seats in a (semi)circular setup. It is a raised platform by elevators

Specific enough?

Sounds good!  Depending on how manic my kids are I might be there 7:00-ish but it will be a game time decision.

I, otoh, went to TCAF, spent $80, and then blew through the grocery budget at $125 this week.

But I'm down to the last 30 rows of my knitting.

I trimmed off about a pound of Very Fatty Meat, which I simmered with soy sauce (a bit like pork bellies). Then I rendered the rest for 2 big tubs of lard, a tub of crunchy pork fat, and some not-very-successful chicharon that we ended up adding to a stew and a pot of beans.

When I retire I'll devote myself to improving my chicharon skills...

Thought: poutine (vegan and regular) and pink gin at my house - one city West of TO.

This Friday? This Saturday? A Tuesday in mid July?

Which times work better for people?

@plainjane can you do Saturday around 1, or is the whole weekend busy?

Friday would probably be 6 or a little later by the time people filter in. Family friendly, but I have no kids.
