How does the week of Oct 17 look for people?  Any days that are a no-go?
This week was penciled in but haven't seen anything firm planned. We usually meet downtown. We've met at a boardgame cafe a couple times, and someone's condo as well.
Either one is fine for me, but suppose I shouldn't propose someone's condo :) Boardgame cafe.. anytime this week or next?
I'm relatively free.

This week became impossible for me, which is why I never set a date.  Next week is good for the Boardgame cafe.  Anyone have a preferred day of the week or a no-go?

I probably have too much going on next week to make it to a meet up.  If there's any interest in meeting the week after next I could do that (except Halloween).

Haha someone's condo was offered by the host. Turned out to be 2 of the better meetups I've been to. We each brought some snacks/drinks, and talked for hours overlooking Lake Ontario. We're totally spoiled now, but I guess we can settle for boardgames at a cafe =)

I'm mostly free on most days

How about this week, while CanuckExpat is still in town?  I can do Wed, Thu, or Fri evening (or Tue, but maybe it's better to sit at home, wringing my hands over the election?)

Thanks for the suggestion. All those days, and any time during those days, sounds good to me, as does the location. Is afterwork best for most people?

Generally people just wander around asking until they find the right table, and sometimes two tables form before someone realizes what happened :)

I'll try to actually have a sign this time.

Hey everyone!  I was there from 5:50-6:15 and approached a whole bunch of tables and people, but didn't come across any Mustachians.  If you were there I'm sorry I missed finding you!  I hope the rest of you managed to link up and have a good time.

So sorry we missed you - in the end there were 8 of us.  My homemade sign was obviously too small.  :(

I hope you can make it next time.

Thanks again for sending me a PM Sarah! It was definitely worth it to come out. There is a very good feeling being able to talk to like minded individuals haha.

I feel bad slsdly (andrew right?). I should have offered you a ride, I completely forgot you live near high park..... I actually drove down younge to see if I could see you because I was extra guilty.

lastly thanks for being patient with my spouse, she is very shy at first and has a hard time speaking in english in louder environments.

Look forward to the next one.  Autumn also says thanks!

I did make it and had a good time. Sorry to miss you, and thanks for helping to get it organized.
You all reminded me to double check a couple of things: we did empty out our TFSA afterall when we moved to the US, so we are more in compliance then I thought, and I am going to double check taking up Canadian residency again.. it may just be worth the hassle to do two sets of taxes, however lazy I am.

Will make sure to drop by again next time we are in town (if we ever leave).

With enough warning I could do a meet. Usually Tuesdays and Thursdays are better for me and Autumn as I usually consult m/w/f.

A new board game cafe just opened in Oshawa! I'm likely the only only who cares, but I'm polling in case there are some other east side GTA folks who would want to do something out this way sometime.

Anyone?

I would be interested in something in the east end!

There are also board game cafes in Markham/Richmond Hill, for those who live in the  north end/burbs.

Darn this too large of a city/clashing schedules. I work near the Junction, but only on the week days. Have fun on the 22nd!

Do come!  I signed up!

Not sure how many of you remember that I came out to a Toronto meet-up last January, and I really enjoyed meeting those of you who were there.  I don't remember real names, or even all the forum names, but I remember csr, and plainjane, and mermaid, I think?  And a couple of others.  Prospector, I think you were supposed to be there but something came up.

At the time, my dad had recently landed in hospital, and one thing led to another ... anyway, for a while I got too busy with "real life" to keep up with the forums.  But I have been back on for a little bit, have signed up for CMC, and would love to get to know some of you at another Toronto meet-up before then.  Will watch this space for any emerging plans (it sounds like I just recently missed one).

Meet up on March 7th!

We're doing this one uber-frugal style, by hiding in the PATH. 615pm ish in the First Canadian Place Concourse level food court, hopefully at a table near Longo's/the LCBO. http://myfirstcanadianplace.ca/

Bring your dinner and a treat to share (homemade or bought).

Hey, I've been meaning to write the cheque and pop it in the mail.  But if you're ok/trust me to bring it to the Meet-Up, then I won't have to find my stamps or buy some more!

Let me know if that works for you...
