Thanks for the great turnout and lively conversation everyone! We talked in vague terms about setting the next meet up for mid to late April. I just wanted to get that out there for anyone who didn't make it and wants to know when the next one is. We can sort out the date/time/location later. I hope everyone had a good time. It was really cool to see all the new faces!

For those interested, the Minimalist.org: Salt Lake City Meetup Group is doing a few meet ups regarding finance. The next one is Monday, February 27 at 7 PM at Salt Lake Roasting Co, 320 E 400 S, downtown Salt Lake.

The topic is Frugal Living Tips. Check out the Facebook page "Minimalist.org: Salt Lake City Meetup Group" to check it out.

Thanks for hosting!  We enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to the next get together.  Mid-late April should work for us right now.

Should we shoot for 4/29? I think it'd be fun to grill.

The weather at the moment suggests next weekend is still going to be rainy and coldish, but the weekend after that might be more in the mid-60s. Granted that's putting a lot of faith in meteorologists. Would the 6th or 7th be better? (The following weekend is Mother's Day on Sunday, so I think that's safely not an option.)

I just PM bombed every user on the last two pages of comments to let them know we're over here hatching plans.

My schedule is currently open for 4/29 and all Saturdays in May so far. Looking forward to it!

Unfortunately I cannot make it to the meetups until June but I would love to join everyone then. Thanks for the PM!

I'm hoping to make it to one once summer gets here.  My busy season at work ends in June.

Hi all, new to the forum but not so new to MMM here in Sugarhouse. I registered for the forum a day to late to get the PM, Foundapenny would you mind shooting me the details if you get this before the meetup next saturday?

Thanks,

Spencer

Looks like Saturday it is. The forecast doesn't look great at the moment, low 50s, cloudy, with rain "later in the day." Do we want to try another outdoor one this time around, or go indoors again and hope next time we finally have some decent weather?

Also, here's a post from Collins that is speaking directly to me right now and was/is something I wanted to talk about when we get together http://jlcollinsnh.com/2017/04/14/sell-sell-sell-sell/.

I'm fine with indoors. That forecast doesn't sound nice to be hanging out outside without being active, especially if it's also windy.

I can offer up my place again, or we can find other midpoints along the way.

Casa de Foundapenny works for me, but I'd totally understand if you're tired of hosting. Wouldn't mind a coffee shop either.

I've got no issues hosting. Just don't want to dominate the venue list if people are sick of trekking out west. Is 2 p.m. a good time?

OK. So it's 2 p.m. this Saturday (4/29) at 11492 Open View Ln., South Jordan, UT. We've been going about 3-4 hours, so if you can't make it until a little later, no problem.

You don't need to bring anything. If you want to, let's keep it light and snacky instead of a full-blown meal this time. Bring your own beer, wine, fizzy drinks, etc.
