I just signed up to say hi. I obviously can't make this meetup, but I may make another one in the future. How about that silly hot weather yesterday?

Welcome, I hope you can make the next one! It was stupidly muggy, though maybe it will eventuate in some rain? Unlikely. The thickness of the air has definitely given me a headache.

Fail! Just saw this!Would have loved to do San Chruos with you all. For the reference I think an after work meet up is an excellent idea :-)Weekends have been super busy for me lately, hence the lack of posting.

I thought San Churros was a pretty decent venue overall - plenty of room, air con, close enough to Perth for the people who are lucky enough to work in the CBD (sigh). I'd love to do another meetup there after work, but after Easter so I can eat chocolatey goodness without feeling guilty :-P

In the meantime, anyone up for a Food Monkey breakfast/brunch/coffee some weekend soon? At this point Saturday 21st March and Saturday 28th March both look good for me.

I agree, San Churros was actually quite good (especially for someone with dairy allegies, there was variety!).

Again, it was lovely to meet some new people and hang out and will keep the next proposed dates in mind, although I tend to be away on weekends, I will keep it marked in the diary!

Have a great long weekend everyone!

Another meet in late March should be okay for me. Yeah, San Churros was decent, I like Food Monkey too!

Yellyfish, it was very nice to meet you! Hope to see you again another time. :)

Been a bit caught up with stuff and haven't been able to make the last couple of meetups but I think I should be able to make the 28th.

I think there might be some family events on the boyfriend's side around that time, but if not I'll certainly want to make it to the meet. :)

I am bringing a friend who's interested in personal finance. I told her about the blog and the meet-ups and she's really interested. Not sure if she will join the forum though, she seems like she already has a billion hobbies to keep her busy. But we have lots of discussions together so it will be cool to bring her too :-)

Hey I am about to do another prune, would anyone like me to bring:

-Kaffir lime leaves
-Fresh bay leaves
-Mint (unsure of variety, strobger than spearmint) either as leaves or seedling
-Climbing (Malabar) spinach seedlings... I have an excess of self- sown ones

What time is the meetup? We have family stuff, but may be able to pop by on the way... and if we do, I'd love some leaves and seedlings!

Huh. I was just thinking to see if there was another meeting being organised. I won't be able to make this one either...
In fact, due to life circumstances, I might not be able to make any meeting for a bit. Nothing bad, just work and family.

We aim for about 1/month, so check back once a week and that should be enough to see when the next one is.

Do we have a time for Saturday? 9am onwards maybe?

I want those giant hash browns with poached eggs, always look so good when other people order them.

Stripey, I'd love a few bay leaves. I'll bring the kindle with Marie Kondo's "The Life Changing Art of Tidying Up".

Excellent. It's a deal. Anybody want some lemongrass? If you put it in water for a fortnight, you can plant it out too. It grows like... well.. grass :)

Someone yesterday was asking about my tea thermos-- it was a gift, and is the same as this: http://www.highwave.com/product-p/j1570.htm but mum must have purchased it in Australia somewhere. It does work very well.

It's always the more the merrier :-) just post if you're planning to come so that we know to keep our eyes open, and so that we can post a few helpful identifiers (like "I'm wearing a red scarf") - otherwise it's tough to decide which group of strangers to approach and ask if they're the Mustachians :-P can you tell I speak from experience here?

There is a place in shafto lane that does $2 tacos on Tuesdays and happy hour from 5-6pm every day ($5 house wine or schooners of sly fox)... how about that? It's close to Perth stn and West Perth Stn so should suit most people? It's super cute and if the weather is good you can sit near the fountain... very romantic!

It looks super-cute!!! Will visit sometime hopefully. Alas, I would certainly not make it there by 6pm unless I asked to leave work early (I don't usually finish till 5 or 6pm anyways, particularly if I am doing the teaching round-up with the kiddies at the end of the day) so will have to miss out on that one.

Mondays are always fine, if there is another mid-weeker (I work a four-day week).

Hi everyone!

I'm new to MMM forums, so I searched "Perth" and found this meetup thread.

I would be interested in coming to the next meetup and getting to know some like-minded people. I'm 21, just wanted to see what age generally everyone is that goes (and that I'm not too young).

Welcome!

Most (definitely not all) are in their 20s, and young professionals. You'd probably be one of the younger ones at 21, but don't let that faze you at all... you'd be more than welcome! Age matters less and less the older you get.

Thought I'd just put a vote in for weekend meetups. I'll be in Perth this coming weekend from Friday until Monday if people are keen to catch up soon? Otherwise I'd next be around on the 22-23rd?
