Ugh, just remembered the trains aren't running on my line this week and the bus takes aaaaaages. I won't get there til at least an hour late now due to work so I might have to pass on this one too, you guys will have finished eating by then. I was really looking forward to it as well! Have fun! Maybe a Food Monkey weekend morning meet up within the next month, pretty please? :)

Bummer! FWIW the restaurant apparently does not open until 6pm, so if you mean that you'd get there at 6.30 that could still be good timing - but then, I imagine you'd have difficulty getting home again if your trains aren't running.

Next Food Monkey breakfast: Saturday 23 or Saturday 30 July?

I would have to ride there and back, combined with my ride to work, would make nearly two hours of riding today! I don't think my legs can hack it! The bus would just make me really late. :(

I can do either of those Food Monkey dates though!

Fair call! It is important to manage your spoons after all ;-)

Throwing it out there - anyone else want to vote for either Saturday 23 July or Saturday 30 July for our next Food Monkey breakfast?

Oh, and Laura1, if you're having trouble recognising us: I'm 5"11 with a blonde ponytail and black-framed glasses, and I'll be wearing a grey coat with giant polka dots all over it. The coat is very distinctive.

Let's lock in 30 July. Anatidaev, nnls, happierathome, me (melody) and anyone else who would like to join us. Does anyone remember what time their $10 bagel, coffee and cake deal ended? Cos I know we said maybe to go a bit earlier to catch that???

Would peeps be keen for an afternoon tea / craft session at my place, maybe mid-late August? For those who haven't been to my place before it's in the inner North (5km from Perth) so fairly central.

Let's lock in the afternoon of Saturday 13 August then as that seems to be a good date for everyone who's posted so far! Yay!

Standard rules for an at-home meetup: I have to have met you before, or you need to be the guest of another MMMer who knows you well. Express interest on this thread or PM me, and a week or so before the day I'll PM my address and further deets :-)

Looking forward to crafting and chatting and eating the jam slice I am totally going to make!

Craft skillz not required :-) drinking tea is an excellent quality!

Hi all, I am new to the forum.

I would love to meet other like-minded people.  My husband and I are at the early stages of our journey towards FI and it would be great to share ideas and experiences.

:D

Yeah I can actually do pretty much any morning if it's near my current place (and there is a San Churro's where I am!), because my lunch shifts start at 11.30am - and I can possibly do afternoons too, as I don't always work lunch, but even if I do, I have a couple hours free in between lunch and dinner shifts. But for example to get to Food Monkey in the morning on a day I'm doing lunch shift, it would take me an hour to get there, and then I can only stay about an hour - depending on train schedules - before spending another hour to get back in time for work, which makes it tricky.

But that's if my location isn't too out of the way for everyone else, of course.

Also still open to a meetup in the hills sometime - maybe when the boyfriend returns, he knows the bushwalk trails, I'd just get you all lost. :p

I have a feeling you live/work near my house, L&P, so I might be able to give you a lift. In general, that is, not this Sat, cos I have other plans.

I can totally lead a bushwalk without getting lost, too.

I am currently planning to come across to Perth to arrive at about 21st September and stay for a weeka and a half. Is there any possibility of me meeting the Perth people? I would really like to.

Sounds good!

I'm away 23 - 26 Sept (inclusive) and that's a long weekend here, so I suspect I'm not the only one who'll be away. But if the best date for the greatest number of people falls outside that range I'll be happy :-) are you still here on Saturday 1 Oct? Saturday morning brunches are popular in our group.

Do you know roughly where you'll be staying (close to the city? Eastern suburbs? etc) so we can think of some convenient places?

Churchlands

I've always wanted to meet the WA mustachians, so I'm happy to stay for the Saturday. I'll be driving across and back, and I will be going back the slow way.

You meant 24 Sept or 1 Oct, right? I can do 1 Oct and miiight be able to do 24 Sept depending on family camping plans
