We are in Morris County. I just started down exploring the FIRE path. Are there any other mustachians in the north/central NJ area? I searched on Meetup groups but only found one for women, which doesn’t fly for me. For some reason the posted google map wouldn’t open for me.

Hey I am from Garfield NJ, I've been going to a FIRE meetup in Linden NJ, that is pretty cool, https://www.facebook.com/groups/ChooseFINorthernNJ/ they've been getting about 35 people showing up, and its really just a group discussion for 2.5 hours or so.
Not sure if anyone is interested, but I am also hosting a Meetup for those looking to gain Financial Independence through Real Estate Investing. For the first meet-up happening in Clifton, NJ on Feb 27th, My Wife and I will share how we - a family of four on one income - were able to house-hack our way from $0 to $1 million in real estate in less than 2-years, and how just those two houses (Quadplex in Garfield & Triplex in North Arlington), bring in $100k/year in gross rents. They'll also be plenty of time for discussion amongst the people who show up.
Anyway also open to meeting up outside of any of these events, if someone wants to organize something...

In Morris County here too and visit Hudson County often. We had a Slack channel going last year but it died out unfortunately. PM me if you want in the channel as it is still active.

I'd be interested, but only in a post-FIRE group. I've made my money through real estate and I'm through with that headache, still working on the high blood pressure from it. ;)
