Title: Mustachians in the Philippines
Post by: zerothreetwo on September 27, 2018, 01:39:27 AM
I've been a lurker in the forums for some time now.

Just wondering if there are any fellow Mustachians in the Philippines?

Cebu represent! :)

Maayong buntag! I'm currently locked out of the Philippines due to covid, but sometimes spend a lot of time there.

How did I miss this thread in all my years on the forum?? It's a 2018 thread but one I'm glad to revive.

Hello from Makati!

Ang lungkot dito minsan kasi parang nag-iisa lang ako na taga-Pinas. Minsan walang maka-relate hahaha

Mustachians in the Philippines:

Good day! Wishing to assist an aspiring native Mustachian in the Philippines open a brokerage to invest in U.S. stocks and mutual funds that 'should' lead to stable passive income, I am informed that all either require an account setup fee or large initial deposit. Over a year ago, I referred to my friend two brokerages that my research suggested were "free," but she claims that is not so. Can you please recommend free online brokerages available to all Philippine citizens that have minimal balance requirements?

Lastly, can you please share with me the Philippine tax consequences of capital gains and dividends from investments?

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
