I have been pretty quiet lately -- I am 4 months into my 6 month "pretirement". I have been living outside Seoul, South Korea where my girls are going to school, and honestly I was getting a bit bored here.
I fell into a volunteer opportunity in Luang Prabang, Laos, so I will spend most of June and half of July working at the children's hospital there.
I am curious about the off-chance that there are any forumites in LP? It seems to have a fair number of expats - kind of the Lao version of Chiang Mai from my naive first-impressions via the internet.
It looks like a great place for cheap, happy living, as long as you don't mind evacuating to Thailand for any significant medical care...
I will try to post some updates. Maybe I should start a journal...
