Neat! I'm not surprised that I'm the only one in my town.

Where is that?

Saint Joseph, Missouri. 5% unemployment, but I don't get the vibe that people manage their money well around here. It's shocking how many pawn shops and pay day loan places line our main road.

Damn if you guys aren't right ON the Kansas-MO state line. I just realized that MO is bordered by the Missouri river on the west and the Mississippi River on the east?!?!?

Pretty much. I can easily drive in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska all within a few hours. As for the Missouri River, it actually only borders the western side of the state a little bit, then crosses right through the middle (follow I-70 on the map) and dumps into the Mississippi.

Just added myself to the map: Kent, OH. Looks like I've got the place to myself :)

Moved my pin to Istanbul.  Apparently there are no other Mustachians in Turkey, at least who have found this thread and pinned themselves.  :)

Pawn shops and payday loan places...hmmmm....is there a casino nearby?

Thanks for putting this together! It's a great idea. I shared it on my Facebook page so hopefully all those reclusive MMM readers come out of the woodwork!

Hello : )

I am new to the forum and just added my pin to the map.  I see there's one more person pinned in my city (Sioux Falls), but the pin doesn't have a username (just a Point #).  Too bad...  Maybe they will contact me, though.

Living at a mall would be pretty mustachian.... not having to pay rent, electricity, etc.

The soft pretzel part of your budget really eats into your savings rate though.

This is great! I'm not too surprised to see only a handful in Alberta, but it's still pretty comforting to know there's a few! :D

I can't access the link, even if I'm signed in to Google. I didn't read the entire thread, is the URL still the same?

Have you tried this one: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LorsFdfApN4XCpFkpCCdfNwunFM&usp=sharing

Don't know if it's the same one or not, it's straight from the 'share' option in the map itself.

The map broke my computer while loading. There probably isn't an easy way to break it up into regions, but it would load faster..

Currently the only pin in the central valley of CA. Maybe thats why a couple cities have declared bankruptcy in the past decade.

Link still works for me and uploads rather quickly.

That's awesome.  I'd totally try to hang out with them.  New friend with automatically similar mindset/interests most likely!  :D

Is there a way to try to send an email or message to the pins on the map?  We'd be interested in meeting the folks who live close to us if they are interested as well.

You could use their names from the pins and PM them on the forum.

You might want to see when they were on the forum before PM'ing them, it is possible there are a few inactive ones.

I am quite alone in my part of the country, although there are 2 on 35-50 kms distance. Somehow, this was quite expected. I think most Norwegians aren't motivated to live a frugal life. And many probably don't need it. But of course they do if they would like to quit working early.

I seem to have missed this map, even though I've been on the forums on and off for years.

Added myself, and found there is another Mustachian really close to me in Scarborough.  Hello Guitar Stv!
