Oh we saw those trucks today. Looks really neat. We'll just meet you all there. We'll head over shortly.

We'll be there in about 20 mins!

Yesterday, we all walked about a mile up to the center of town and ate dinner at the Moab Food Truck Park.  It was a nice change of pace and I was glad to get in some more walking.  During the day, we had sort of split up into several small excursion groups.  Three people ventured to the Needles district of Canyonlands, 6 people did the Hidden Valley hike, 1 person did a solo trip to Delicate Arch, and 2 of us did a scenic bike ride.

After we returned from our Food Truck dinner, several of us gathered again at a campFIRE, while others called it an early night.

Today, we did a group hike up to the Moab Rim, which overlooks the town of Moab, all of Arches National Park, and the La Sal Mountains.  The trailhead was close enough for several of us to access it by bicycle, while a group jumped into my truck and drove.  Worked out perfectly.

Tonight, we will have one last campFIRE before we all go our separate ways tomorrow morning.  :(

Oh, on today's hike, I was eavesdropping on a conversation between a few other MMMers, and heard the terms "gay porn from the 50s" and "SEP IRA" within just a couple minutes.  One never knows where a discussion of MMMers might lead.  :)

Here are a couple of pictures from today's hike.

Best moment of the meetup: ukulele snoop dog at the campfire.

Yep--the ukulele session was an amazing way to end this meetup!

Many thanks for everyone who showed up and made this a really special 10 days for me.  Mustachians are such great people--interesting, optimistic, funny, upbeat, and grateful.

I am already looking forward to next year:  I hope that everyone who attended this year will make a return trip, and that those who were unable to make it this year will be able to make it happen next year.

@kudy So sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to you this morning.  When I emerged from my camper after my first cup of coffee, your vehicle was gone.  I'm not sure if you had actually left Moab at that point, or were just out doing an errand.  In any case, I'm really glad you attended the meetup and hope to see you in Moab next Fall!

It was such a treat to get to meet you all. I hope we cross paths again (Moab next year if not sooner!)

The photo that made the conversation possible:

BTW, @aperture , I use flickr when I want to upload pics to the forum.  I first upload the pic from my phone to flickr.  Then I find the pic in flickr and click on the "share" icon.  And I embed the code into my post.  I will post a pic here, and then you can click on the "Quote" button in order to see what my code looks like.  If you have questions, just let me know.

Back to reality!  I ended up having knee surgery the day before the MOAB trip!  Anesthesia has worn off by now, just wanted to apologise for being a no show.  Glad y'all had a great time!

I made it back home a week ago after my travels. I have been catching up at home and not on the forum.

It was so nice to see some friends again and meet some new people at Moab. I really enjoyed my time there and hope to return and see the stuff I didn't get to see on this trip.

Thanks to the organizers and to @NinetyFour and @aperture for the transportation services! Also congratulations to @NinetyFour and @aperture on their current retirements.

I have a few new blogs to follow from the new people I met on this trip.

We sure do miss @2Saving4Life on our hikes and rides. Wishing you were still here, and not just for the geology lessons.

Have you made it back home yet and been able to see your family?

Thanks so much for the comment @Daisy,  that makes us happy.  We enjoyed your company as well.  Did you ever go back to Courthouse wash?  I forgot, we did stop at the visitors center after our hike that day and they said to stay on the East side of the river for the trail.  Seemed like it was on both sides to me.

We just made it back earlier today, just under 1000 miles in two days.  Thanks for checking up on us Daisy, that was very kind of you.  Have a great time!  We'll hopefully see you at the next one.

I hope everything is going well for you. How is it going?
