Hi,

I'm in nyc for a couple of weeks and wanted to see if anyone wanted to get together.  Thinking Wed Nov 10th @ 6PM at the winter garden in Brookfield Place (open to suggestions, though).  Hope to hear from everyone.

Bumping this thread! I am NJ based but live within walking distance to a train station and would love a reason to go to the city.

Hi Mustachians, you're invited the join the next NYC Bogleheads meeting: It will be Sunday, October 2 at 2-4pm at the Winter Garden atrium at Brookfield Place. (https://bfplny.com/winter-garden/)

In addition to a general discussion, we hope to discuss the concepts in the book Die with Zero. Here is a summary: https://summaries.com/blog/die-with-zero

I recently read this book and think it would make for an interesting discussion. Some of the ideas are a bit at odds with the traditional Bogleheads frugality [e.g. the goal should be to spend (or give away) your money during your lifetime - anything left over represents time spent working unnecessarily; spend money on experiences earlier in life rather than waiting til you're older, etc]. I'll give a short summary of the key points for those who haven't read it.

Hope to see you soon!
Alice
