Hawaii, the Big Island
« on: April 14, 2018, 06:34:27 PM »
I was recently on a trip to The big island of Hawaii and I loved it.  We drove around quite a bit and explored.  The people seemed really friendly and seemed really sincere about Aloha, Ohana, really a great place.  Had a few conversations with locals about what life is really like there (when you’re not on vacation).  They genuinely seemed to love it.

Anybody live on the big island now or in the past?  Would love to learn more about it.

Big Island is pretty legit. I have been living on Oahu for the past 5 years or so and have loved it a lot. However, in my opinion, Big Island is better is many regards. The people are genuinely nice, the pace is pretty slow, housing seems cheaper than some of the other islands, and there is lots of open space. I love visiting out there and have thought about moving out that way.
