I am new to the MMM world (found the blog & forum via Frugal Dad last week). I'm intrigued by what I'm reading and think it'd be fun to get together with others in the Boston area...

Also interested!

Although it is not perfectly Mustachian, perhaps we should first plan to catch a drink at a local bar.  Cambridge Brewing Company in Cambridge is a favorite of mine (cambrew.com).  Once we are better acquainted, maybe we could host in-home.

So shall we pick a date? CBC sounds good to me...where it'll be easy for me to be Mustachian! (I'm 7 months pregnant so will be sticking to the water-like beverages on tap.) :)

I like the idea of starting off with an easy, informal gathering, sooner rather than later to get the ball rolling. How about CBC this Saturday, 3/3, at 3pm until whenever? Later today, I'll PM my phone number to everyone who's responded to this thread. I will also post it over on the ERE forum.

Maybe later, bicycle or I can host a bigger gathering with Doodle poll scheduling and all that. If you can't make it this time, we can try to schedule around you for next time.

(I tried to post this in the personal messages but I'm not familiar with how they work and couldn't see my sent ones so I'm posting this here as well!)

Wondering if the first Boston-area meet up happened?  If so, how was it?  I'm in western MA so would love to get in on the next get together if there is one!

Five of us met for a couple of hours over beers, and it was a good time. Now is a fine time for another meet-up. I'll put together a plan in the next couple days. If you haven't already replied above, please put a post here to let me know you're interested. I'll give details by personal message.

I'm 6 days away from my due date so we'll probably miss the next one. It was fun to meet folks last time - keep me posted of future meet-ups! :)

Anyone interested in another meetup?  We're willing to host at our north of Boston suburban location that's accessible via public transit (train).

If there's enough interest, then I'll post a few possible dates for selection.

Hi,

I'm in Somerville and new to the Blog - about 3/4's the way through reading all the archives - woohoo!

I'd love to play and have some people to meet up with - I'll reply to the poll as well, thanks for being willing to host!

Thanks to everyone who responded to the poll.  Based on the responses, the date was clear (moved the time slightly earlier because I like repeated digits).

When: Saturday, November 3rd @ 3pm.
Where: My house in North Suburbia -- PM me for details.
What: Potluck gathering -- we'll supply a hot main dish, please bring what you wish to share.  Feel free to respond with comments on what you'll bring.
Who: Bostonian Mustachians of all kinds.  Children of all ages welcome.
Why: To break bread with other mustachians and find out who looks or sounds like their avatar.

Hey all, my wife and I attended the first Boston-area meetup and it was great time, however, we have since relocated to RI.

If anyone is ever in the Providence area, feel free to ping us.  We're always up for some fun with like-minded folks!
