Do Snacky, and Scrubby, and Swick, and, and so many other Canadians know about this meetup??

Um, they may well know, but Canada . . . . they are a few 1000 km away.  ;-(   Belleville is a 2+ hour drive from Toronto or Ottawa, they are much further west.  If they wanted to fly into Ottawa I would happily drive them to the sleepover, but I doubt they are up for that!

Yeah, I wish I had the time/money to attend random MMM forum events but I currently don't. It would be 3-4 days driving each way, and lots of money - flying or driving.

Yes, tough to be on the road longer than at the event!
Flying is horrible anymore. They were always flying busses - but with getting to the airport 1-2 hours early, security, waiting, waiting, waiting, boarding the cattle car .... UGH!

So far no mouse poops discovered, but I wouldn't be too surprised if we end up with some snap traps popping. It is country-esque.

I have snap traps from the drowned baby mouse incident.  Should I bring them?  Missy might catch a mouse but I am not sure she would know what to do with it once she had it.

If missy can teach bernie to catch mice, that would be great. She's mostly afraid of them.

We have a handful of traps around - I just need to dig 'em out.

Hey Prospector,

Just noticed this!!! Sounds like a lot of fun. And the weather looks like it will be very nice as well for you.

We are just down the road (relatively speaking) near Kingston, unfortunately we have our pup (10 yr old dog) so we won't make it under the house rules.

But, please do post a full report on the goings-on.
Love to hear how it all turns out.

Ok, I'm going to drop out. Sorry. Just too far for a one nighter - I'm currently working full time and it's exhausting, need the weekend to just chill. Um, and do all the chores/yard work/etc etc.

10 year old dog and house rules?  Bernie is coming.  Missy is coming (my 10 year old puppy). Kids are coming.  If your dog is good with other dogs and kids, I don't see the issue (but I am not the host).

Yeah - Bernie's coming too. Come on down, bring the dog. No fence, so you decide whether a leash/tether is needed.

Bring beer. I can send directions if you are coming.

I'm probably a no now. We started our trip late, and are still somewhere in the Midwest on route to Chicago. If it changes and can make it, will let you know.

For what it's worth. Retired@63 guessed right. Prospector, good sleuthing, but I probably threw you off because I speak American now and and use "college" when I used to use "university". I guess it's true, you can never go home again...

Big sad you are missing the sleepover.  Glad I guessed right.  If you had been able to make it we could have done an "oil thigh" for the edification (and amusement ) of everyone there.

I do, and I heart the idea SO MUCH! Alas, I don't meet The Humans yet (working on fall 2018).

At this point I think we are down to two potential guests, depending on how everyone's health and schedules are.

I'm cool with that. Our biggest goals for the weekend now involve dumpsters, scrub brushes, and yard maintenance equipment. If anyone wants to come, but isn't sure, please send me a message by tomorrow for travel instructions. For those who have already received instructions and are planning on stopping by, I'll keep my phone charged and at hand.

Ah man, you're killin' me...  All my favourite things in one go... Sigh.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and your family Prospector and whoever else shows up.
Logistics can be tricky when virtual meets reality but I haven't been disappointed by meeting any MMMers yet!

Prospector already knows, but I am passing, trying to get healthy.
