My girlfriend and I are also in Austin. We have actually been talking about seeing if there were any other Mustachians here in town that might want to get together for a meetup. We were happy to see your post!

I just joined this forum and live in Austin. I was wondering if anyone ever got together and if so, are there any groups that meetup occasionally? I am new to FI, the MMM community and am in need of a social life, lol. That is definitely one of the drawbacks of saving money all the time. I have gotten into this thing where I want to do things with people, but everyone wants to go drinking/partying/clubbing/concerts, or spend a lot of money at restaurants. They dont think I want to tag along because it is not something in my budget. That being said, I would love to meet other mustachians to see what you all do for fun and maybe bring in my own flavor of fun to the party.

Let me know. I am free on the weekends.

I think we should post our availability, and an event of some kind that we can all go to, if someone is willing to host or has some cool idea. A zilker park trip may be cool, something along those lines, or if someone has room, we could do a BBQ. I am open to ideas, but I really need to get out and meet some like-minded folk.

I'm available every Saturday for sure, and sometimes on Sundays. (I work from home)

I too live in Austin. (over 24 years now)

I like to get around town on my bike and used to bike to work every day until I retired two weeks ago. :)

Now looking for ways to ride my bike for more non-work trips.

A MMM bike ride would be a great way to get together that wold be fun and cost little to nothing. We could meet up on bikes on the Pfluger bridge for instance. Perhaps before the Thursday night Social Cycling ride. (which I am missing tonight)

If we set a date for this meetup, we can then discuss who can bring things. I have a margarita machine I use to make $ on the side I am willing to donate service for if someone provides the adult beverage to go in it. :)

I am in North Austin near the arboretum. I would be willing to meetup in central Austin or Zilker Park for a meetup. The only issue I have is that my margarita machine requires power so that wouldnt work if we cant find somewhere with a power outlet.(It's alright though grillin is just fine by me)

How is it looking for early August? Saturday afternoons? I am available after 1pm on any weekend day

I was suggesting talk over coffee. Get to know each other.
I'm in late 20s, have a fiance/boyfriend, whatever, no kids, been in austin since 2002.
I suggest meeting up at Epoch Coffee by North Loop area-it's 24 hours.

Epoch is a good choice

Let's talk date/time. I am very flexible. Weekday mornings are almost always free for me.

There is a every-other Wednesday bicycle pub crawl I do occasionally tomorrow night. Usually starts someplace central. I think tomorrow they are meeting at The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company at 1305 W Oltorf St,

Attended the Thursday Night Social Ride last night.

Things don't really get going until about 8 pm when it gets dark.

About 200 free spirited folks, mostly younger but of all ages, on bikes riding all over town with lots of bike stereos blaring all variety of music.

Regroup at a park after about an hour of riding then off to a downtown-ish bar for post ride celebrations.

A smaller MMM subset bike ride, perhaps at a more newb friendly pace, might be in order.

ok, I can do that.

I will bring Pepper my Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix in my bike trailer.

She is a medium taller heeler, white with black spots and a big black eye patch. Like Pepper, medium build with short black and white hair. I don't currently sport an actual mustasch but may have some stubble due to my avoidance of shaving.
