Hi everyone- I'm fairly new to both Austin and this forum. Anyone interested in a meet-up?
From looking at the archives, it looks like about a year has past since the last Austin meet-up, so it might be a good time to connect people in Austin.
Let me know if/ when interested, and I'll set something up.
Thanks!
-
I'm in. Let me know when and where.
-
My husband and I are in, too!
-
I would be interested!
-
Count me in!
-
Looks like the OP hasn't been back since the 30th...
-
Sorry for being out for a while! My wife is traveling for work quite a bit this month, so I need to take care of the kids in the evening. How does November sound for a meet-up?
Does Thurs. Nov. 6 work? Maybe we can do 7pm at Bennu coffee shop (2001 E MLK). Let me know if you're in or have other suggestions on time/place! Looks like there's only a few people, so I'm hoping everyone can come. Looking forward to it!
-
Cool!.
I think we could make it to Austin by 7pm :)
-
Awesome- Rezdent!
Let me know if anyone else can make it, or if an alternative time/place works better.
-
I have a work event the evening of November 6, but could do either November 4 or 5.
Thanks for organizing!
-
Wed, November 5th works for me. 7pm at Bennu still okay?
Please let me know if anyone else is up for it!! Looking forward to it.
-
We are up for meeting next week! See you at Bennu!
-
Sorry folks- I can't make it next Wed Nov 5th.
My wife has a work event in the evening, so I need to stay home with our kids.
Maybe we can do it another time, or feel free to meet without me.
-
Bummer! Surely we can move it back a little so everyone can make it. How does the 12th or 13th work for everyone?
-
Hey guys, I would be interested in meeting up. I nominate a meeting at Frankenbike Saturday Dec 27th. If you are mustachian, you like bikes and this is best place to find parts, bikes, and talk with cool like minded people. Lets say 11am. Its going to be at yellow bike project this month. Ill be selling parts, with my longtail homebuilt ebike.
-
I'm from Wichita KS but I'll be in the Austin area over Christmas (20th-30th). It would be fun to meet some people.

Like this idea. Perhaps schedule a mustachian meetup before/after Frankenbike each month.
-
http://frankenbike.net/. Is Jan 31st at yellow jacket social club. I didn't go last month due to poor weather. But I should be there this time, with parts to sell. Females get free tun-ups from the LBS.
-
Count one more for interested in an ATX meetup. Did it happen in December post-Frankenbike? Are folks rallying around Jan Frankenbike?
-
I would be interested in Austin meet-up as well! I don't ride a bike so I will likely skip the Frankenbike,
but I would attend a different event!
-
I'm interested.
-
Also interested. Glad to see a few others. For what it's worth a park is always a winner. Play structures for kids, picnic area / tables for adults, water, open space etc...
For consideration: if anyone is South of Town Lake, then Little Zilker is pretty fabulous. Northwards, Ramsey Park is pretty good. Both offer reliably easy parking or roads with bike lanes to get to, and plenty of flat green space with known working water fountains and play + shade structures. They're my favorite family weekend day haunts...
-
Frankenbike has been rescheduled to neat Sunday the 8th at Yellow Jacket Social Club. I didn't go to the December one due to rain. I am looking forward to going because I have bike parts to sell! Craigslist is not great for small stuff, but I've sold a bunch on there.
I would be up for a different venue too. But to me, I want to do productive stuff (such as selling bike parts).

-
New to Austin, and new to the forums here … are there any more meet ups in the work? I'd be interested.
-
I'll be in Austin over Labor Day weekend (+ or - a few days). I'll join in if you guys have a meet-up.
-
Maybe someone just needs to take this meet up bull by the 'stache. (see how I mixed abuncha metaphors:)
How about we meet at Ramsey Park, 4201 Burnet Rd, 6pm Saturday September 5th.
https://www.austintexas.gov/department/ramsey-pool
Let's make it a brown bag instead of pot luck, since there's no way of knowing how many will show up.
We are 2 who will show up. Please reply if you are IN. Or to propose a different date/place.
Andrew & Sarah S.
-
I'm interested in coming, but probably not on a Saturday. Any week day in the evening would be something I'd be interested in attending.
-
I'll try to make the long weekend get together.
-
Let me run that by the husband's work schedule - should be okay!
-
I'm "IN" for the 5th at Ramsey. Is there a pavilion or land mark that's easy to find?
-
On Google Maps, it appears as though there's a series of concrete benches near an ampitheater that might be your best bet on a Friday afternoon. (The only other option with seating/cover is the playground.)
I might attend.
-
Barring disaster, I'm in. Possibly with my wife and two children.
-
In - one person. Thanks for restarting this!
-
is this still happening on the 5th? I'm new to Austin and definitely interested!
-
It appears so. Bonus: It's not a hundred degrees.
-
I made it to Austin tonight so I'm still in. Keep an eye out for a lost and uglier version of the transporter/Bruce Willis ;-)
I'll be looking for this:

-
I'm going to have to bow out. We won a pretty cool little entertainment package for the whole family that we'll be using tomorrow instead. Hope y'all have fun, and I'll keep an eye out for the next meetup.
-
Looking forward to the meet up today at Ramsey Park.
-
Looks like I may miss tonight - woke up just now (gah!) and have a terrible head cold. Where did it come from? No idea … but no desire to share that around. See you all at the next one!!

I just got to Austin on Thursday and woke up in the morning with the same bug. I thought it was allergies but I'm still fighting it. I had plans to show today but after running around most of the day I had to bail. Sorry folks I just didn't have it in me and thought I better rest so I can enjoy the rest of my week.
-
Luckily, three Mustachians did go to the meetup, and had a good time.
As far as I know, no one brought or passed on any colds. Fresh watermelon was shared, also chocolate chip cookies, perched on cool limestone. Family talk and personal stories bubbled around while other users of the park bounced basketballs and picnicked. Bits of finance mixed with occasional adventures in work from the perspective of our Mustachian band and a variety of other stories. By the time dusk brought our conversation to a close, everyone seemed interested in continuing and adding to the new tribe - by meeting again, maybe next month.
One thing mentioned was that some of the commenters had wished for a week day instead of weekend day. Possibly some people will do only one or the other; maybe we could alternate.
So, would anyone who wants a weekday (or weekday evening) meetup like to step up by proposing a day in early October?
-
The Saturday meetup was fun. Enjoyed meeting everyone. Weather was good. The brown bag worked well. Look forward to the next one.
-
Darn. I just missed this! Count me in for the next one!
-
Me too, would love to be involved in the next one!
-
My fiance and I moved to (south) Austin about a year ago, would be fun to meet some new people. Count us in for the next one of these if we can make it :)
-
Wife and I would like to check out group as well.
-
If there is a meeting going on, I'd like to come along as well. thanks!
-
Posting to follow for the next Austin meet-up.
-
It is about time for another Austin meet-up with fellow Mustachians and FIRE-minded friends.
How about a weekday evening this time.
To determine which evening and time is good for you, please take the poll: http://doodle.com/poll/ezpdvd9y9cper9g6
I am thinking a trailer food park or coffee shop in central Austin somewhere off MoPac with warm coffee, tea or hot chocolate: Mozart's Coffee Roasters, Cafe Medici, Houndstooth Coffee, Monkey Nest Coffee, etc. As long it is relatively easy to get to for those north and south, and fits in with the frugal life style. Any suggestions?
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

-
Monkey nest is great for me. I was there at lunchtime today! Great coffee and a cosy cafe.
-
+2 for meeting for coffee. Any of those shops sound great!
-
Got some interest, filled in the Doodle. Life is busy though ;)
-
Another interested lurker-up-until-now here! My husband and I would love to try to make it and meet some of you guys.
-
I'm not in Austin yet but thinking about moving there...it made it to my top 4 places. My Sister lives there and my Mom is fence sitting about moving there. I but plan on taking a 14 State tour looking for a new place to live. I should be in the area around the end of Feb/early Mar, it would be cool to meet up with some of you to pick your brains on the area. If you have any pros/cons about the area feel free to PM me. Thanks!
-
I could go for Monkey Nest.
-
Count me in for coffee too! We need to pick a time or something :)
EDIT: Ok ya'll are on top of this, filled in the Doodle poll.
-
I could go for Monkey Nest.
I would be able to walk to Monkey Nest.
-
DollarBill - Let us know when you're in town. It would be good to meet up with you, and discuss pros/cons - especially from a FI standpoint. ;)
-
Good to hear from everyone. The more the merrier!
A final decision on date and location can be made in about a week.

Will do! I missed the last one because I got sick or it was really bad allergies.
-
20+ people have responded. That's great. Monkey Nest Coffee's maximum capacity is only around 20.
Any other suggestions for a cafe, pub or restaurant for coffee, drink or food.
Mozart's Coffee Roasters was suggested (large patio and parking up above): http://mozartscoffee.com/
The eclectic Spider House Cafe: https://spiderhouseaustin.com/cafe/
-
+1 vote for mozart's!
-
I would like to do this. I voted, any time other than weekday daytime is good for me.
I would vote for:
Austin Java at Parkway (great food, (coffee and beer too) good prices, and not full service (small tip).
Whole Foods downtown - the best deal in town is here at the taco bar - just get one taco and load it up for $3
I've found that food trucks are not particularly any more frugal than other food establishments. Though if it's warm and place with benches could work ok.
Whatever place it be - needs to be bike friendly accessible.
Oh - Frankenbike is this Saturday the 30th and it's at Yellow Jacket Social Club. It would be a good place too. http://frankenbike.net/frankenbike-austin-126-january-30-2016-10am-4pm/
-
Most popular date: Thu 2/11/16 7:00 PM. Look forward to meeting y'all.
PS. For those who can't make it, let's organize a future event in a couple of months.
-
Now let's agree on a place:
2 for Mozarts.
1 for Austin Java at Parkway or Whole Foods downtown (aka the mothership).
-
I can't make it. See you all at the next one.
-
Austin Java isn't any bigger than Monkey Nest.
I vote for Mozart's with Whole Foods as 2nd choice.
-
Mozarts is cool with me.
-
Thursday is supposed to be really nice weather in town. If I can make it my vote would be for Mozarts over Austin Java.
-
Or we could make it truly Mustachian and have it at a free bike-friendly public place and BYO coffee and edibles.
Some Suggestions:
Republic Square
The Open Room at Sand Beach
Ramsey Park
Lou Neff Point
Shipe Park
-
Looks like people can do Mozarts and Mozarts can accommodate us.
Austin, TX FI Meet-Up
Mozart's Coffee Roasters 3825 Lake Austin Blvd Austin, TX 78703
Thursday, February 11th, 2016
7 pm CST
I'll be on the patio with a sign (I'll make it relevant).
Austin forecast: no rain and around 65 degrees.
Chardog - good suggestion about bike-friendly as well as BYO food and drink. Hopefully, we can find out on Thursday what is bike-friendly for people (or commuting possibilities) for next time.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Thursday at Mozart's.
-
Posting to track and future interest. I'm not sure we can make this Thursday due to work commitments, but will try to make any future events. Are we really too big for MonkeyNest? They have indoor and outdoor seating, plus the rooms in the back.
-
Look forward to meeting you all!
-
Have a blast, hope to make the next one! We live a bit north of y'all, 7 pm on a weeknight from Liberty Hill would be a challenge with Slo-Pac traffic.
-
Looking forward to this evening's Austin, TX FI Meet-Up.
Mozart's Coffee Roasters 3825 Lake Austin Blvd Austin, TX 78703
Thursday, February 11th, 2016
7 pm CST
Sorry not everyone can make it. We look forward to seeing you at the next one.
Ian
PS I spoke with MonkeyNest and 20+ of us as well as their usual clientele would be challenging. Not sure if it was the space or staffing. When I spoke with Mozart's, they were fine. On Monday from 7 to 8 pm, Mozart's patio was fairly empty. Perhaps, we could try MonkeyNest another time to see if it works for us and them. With everyone's suggestions, we have a near endless list of places to choose from.
-
We had such a fun time! It was great meeting everyone who showed up. Let's do it again soon, definitely looking forward to the next one :)

Likewise! It was great to meet and talk with so many like-minded people!
Can't wait to hang out again!

-
I'll be down in Austin between the 24th-28th if anyone wants to plan another meet up!
-
My plan was to attend, but CTAN had a screening meeting last night so I had a conflict. I'll try to make the next one.
-
Thanks for the meetup. It was great to meet everybody.
This is Ron (my wife is Beth).
Just a note: I mentioned East Side King at Hole in the Wall had a great happy hour with cheap food.
Apparently, that has been closed since mid-December.
Looking forward to the next meetup.
-
Very fun evening. Glad to meet everyone (15 people). Weather was wonderful. Mozart's patio worked out well. Some of us finally rolled out around 9:30pm.
Enjoyed hearing people talk about how they got into financial independence and frugal madness.
Others offered to host future meet-ups at their places. Let's plan another get-together including those who missed this one.
Look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
-
Hi! Great to meet everyone there last night. Look forward to the next one! And my pool is looking good for May!
-
Thank you for the offer. I am in. Wonderful company and a pool just go together.
-
Sad to have missed -- missed the chatter on the forum as I don't check in here very often. Hopefully will catch it next time! Much more interested in in-person connections than online ones. :-)
-
I didn't make it (need to subscribe to the thread). Will try for the next one.
-
I'll be down in Austin between the 24th-28th if anyone wants to plan another meet up!
I unfortunately have multiple commitments this week. Hopefully, others will jump in.
-
Hey all! When's the next meetup?
-
We are aiming for May, on a weekend. We'll figure out the details when the time gets closer.
The last meet-up was good. Hope you'll be able to make this next one.
-
I was just thinking that it is about time to organise the next meetup!
I had mentioned my house and I'm still ok for doing this. Since it is a private address, I'd rather not post the address on an open forum. First thing is to sort out the date. I'll get the calendar out to see which weekends are free.
-
I couldn't agree more - it's time for another meetup.
Let us know what weekends are free.
Ian
-
I would prefer sometime first two weeks of May if possible!
-
I'm looking at Friday 6th May or Saturday 7th May.
please could you fill in your preference days/times on this doodle link.
http://doodle.com/poll/p2vhe4q4g7zrv4nn
-
We're out of town that weekend -- would really love to make it next time. Enjoy!
-
so far only 3 people have responded to the doodle.
does this mean only 3 people can come?
Please, let me know your preferences for day and time that weekend. I can probably book another weekend out for this but can't guarantee May.
-
The times proposed are bad for people with families. I'd suggest doing something early on Saturday morning.
-
The times proposed are bad for people with families. I'd suggest doing something early on Saturday morning.
Saturday mornings are terrible for me with children and activities! Quite a lot of people came to the last meeting on Thursday evening, without their children. My house is well set up for children, I have a pool and a trampoline so I actually thought that it would be nice for us all to get together, maybe have a beer and cool off in the water.
I will put together an eventbrite for this and see what happens.
-
I'll be heading down on May 1st thru 16th so I'll be looking for the meet-ups. I have decided to move to Austin but gonna travel for a bit before finding a place.
-
I confirmed on Doodle for Saturday, May 7 at 5:30 or 6:30pm. My wife is in too.
warmastoast - Thank you for hosting.
-
OK.
May 7th at 5.30(ish) in NW Austin about 10 minutes from 183/mopac
Kids are welcome.
Food- A potluck picnic
wine/beer/soft drinks -bring what you'd like to drink.
Swimsuits.... :-) especially if it's hot!
Since it is a private home if you'd like to come then please pm me for the address and contact details. Car-sharing would be good!
-
Just bumping this up to bring it to the attention of others.
Please let me know if you'd like to come by pm so that I can send you my address.
-
So how's it looking warmastoast? Do we have a decent number of people coming?
-
We're bringing a big casserole dish of eggplant parmesan! It's smelling pretty good right now :P
-
I'm sad I missed the last meetup. Had to travel for work. Any thought on a next meetup?
-
Hope everyone had fun - we were going on vacation the Monday after and had too much to do.
-
It was very nice but rather a small meetup. I think either I chose the wrong weekend or my place is just too far out of town!
Another meetup soon would be great.
-
I'm up for another soon! How about this weekend?
-
I'd be up for another one! Maybe a picnic? If it ever stops raining hah!
-
I'd be up for another one! Maybe a picnic? If it ever stops raining hah!
It has definitely stopped raining! :)
I will be doing lots of traveling this summer, but hopefully can make the next meetup.
-
Rained again!
Actually, I was wondering what sites y'all use for selling off stuff in addition to Craigslist? Is there something better in the Austin (North Austin) area?
Thanks.
-
I will mostly be in Austin this month. Interested in meeting up.
-
Not sure how I missed the meet up in May, but very disappointed that I did! Worse, I proposed the Ramsey Park meet up last September & missed that! I was going to set up an actual Meetup.com Austin Mustachians group to make it easer to find others & organize get togethers, but they charge $9.99/month! And as a Mustachian I just can't do that:) I would like to try again to meet some of my fellows. I know some folks prefer a weekday meet up, but they are going to have to organize that themselves, not going to work for us. Wondering about a Saturday evening in September, the 10th or 17th? People with small children might prefer the park again, or I love the Draught House on Medical Parkway, a great European-feeling beer garden. I set up a doodle poll, but that's only good for the date, please indicate your preferred location. http://doodle.com/poll/fzgebvgwgr8ikzhv
-
OK! Saturday 9/17/16 @ 7PM, Draught House Pub & Brewery, 4112 Medical Pkwy. I will make a small table tent with a Mustache or something similar. Looking forward to it!
-
Awesome. With this much lead time, I may actually be able to make this happen. Sounds great!
-
I'll try to attend but I'm moving into an apartment that day so we'll see. I'm new to Austin so it would be nice to meet up.
-
Bumping this. See you there.

Doh, wish I made it to the last one!
Is there an email list or facebook group to make it easier to track the events?
I can try subscribing to this topic but I think if I miss one email about a new post the forum won't send another email until I read the thread again or something.
-
Any chance there will be an Austin meetup in October? My wife and I will be in the area on October 25 and 26. On Wednesday 10/26 we're planning to attend happy hour at ABGB - planning to see Warren Hood play there for his usual Wednesday night gig.
on edit... here's the link to the ABGB web site http://theabgb.com/
-
Just moved to Austin. Quite interested in getting together with other Mustachians for a future event. Is this the best way to track possible events in the future? Thanks, Carter
-
Probably is Carter. We just seem to be a little inactive since our last meet up in September. Perhaps we could drum up some interest for a January/February meetup...
Welcome to Austin. What's your general location?
-
Excellent, thanks for the response. I am in Tarrytown for the moment. Look forward to meeting soon.
-
Bump, January and/or February would be good. A picnic, pot luck, happy hour or outdoor activity would be fun.
-
Following. Also interested in a meetup. I'm North.
-
Following; also interested in a meetup in Jan/Feb. We're central / east.
-
How about Thursday February 2 or Saturday February 4?
I'm happy to host a get-together at my house (near Mopac and 183).
Or Genuine Joe's has a comfy meeting room with minimum tab per hour:
http://genuinejoecoffee.com/meeting-rooms/
-
Count us in if the event is on a Saturday or Sunday! We are very North, but don't mind driving to meet y'all wherever. :)
-
@clmsoup - that's very generous of you to offer to host, and if that's what the group comes to a consensus on, we'll be there.
My personal preference would be a location a bit more central (bike accessible) and outdoors, if the weather cooperates. Mueller has some nice grassy (and shady) areas where we've met up with another group. Throw frisbees, picnic, discreetly enjoy beverages; playground nearby. Here's the spot I'm thinking of: https://goo.gl/SVimcl
Another option across the road is Patterson Park. Or Zilker, but parking can be a bit difficult there for those driving.
Saturday Feb. 4 would work for us.

Mueller!!
I can imagine early February being cold, though, and a house party being preferable. I like visiting people's houses. House in February, Mueller in March/April??

I hope clmsoup comes back, as we were going to their house on the 4th, right?

If not, we can host, but we are in Liberty Hill, so y'all gotta come to the country!! Lol.

Is there a facebook group or email list going on for Austin mustachians?
If not I think there should be one. It's kinda hard to keep track of just this forum thread even if you try to use the notifications feature.

As a former Austinite, I highly suggest someone there form a meetup group. I think Round Rock might have one already?
The BAMMM (Bay Area MMM) meetup group is has regular and well attended meetings.
-
Do you recall the name of the round Rock meetup?
I set up a group on Facebook, Austin area Mustachians. Please join!!

But Cedar Park was named after the guys who came out to chop down Cedar! True heroes! :D
Anyway, Liberty Hill is nice.

Plenty of Cedar left all around this area. Liberty Hill is changing fast, 29 will become exactly like 1431. 5-8 years, tops...

Great! But how do you feel about making it a private group? I myself and I would imagine others would prefer to keep the mustachian stuff unknown to coworkers/bosses for example and an open group shows up on your profile (I think).

I considered making it private, but then it won't be searchable, so joining would be difficult. Perhaps start as a closed group, then switch to private once it's a bit more established?

It's your group so up to you. Nothing stopping you from having two groups though, right? One private, one open.
I would think most people will find out about the FB groups here too.
If there's both a private and an open group I would imagine events could be posted in both groups. I'm not a facebook pro though so I don't really know the best way to do this stuff.
-
OK, so my group is a closed group, which means that someone can search for the group and see who is in it, but not see posts. The next level would require someone to either friend me or someone else in the group in order to get in. Not practical for this purpose, in my opinion. But you are welcome to start your own group and see how that goes? I'm not interested in "owning" any group, so everyone who joins is being made an admin, so they would all have full rights to the group.
So far, I've got four members! Lol.

Fwiw, I am comfortable with IRL meetups where I tell individuals who I am, but prefer not to have my actual identity visible in MMM online groups. To me the ability to say more of what I want comes from maintaining anonymity to some extent.
I guess it was years ago when Facebook was so egregious about opening up people's privacy settings but it just doesn't feel like a private space to me.
-
<delurking> I just applied to join the Austin FB group. My name has "Kat" in it, so you'll know it's me. ;) <relurking>

I'm on the same page as you. I could do a secret facebook group that isn't searchable/discoverable by just anyone or an email list where everyone is BCC'd though.
Also don't mind talking to people IRL and deciding what to share with them, but do mind this info about me being easily found by anyone online.

I abandoned social media a long time ago due to the excessive drama load. Please crosspost any finalized(ish) plans here.

Still open to doing something at my house, but if y'all wanted something a little more central, how about Blue Baker in the arboretum? They have a huge indoor seating area, perhaps get together early afternoon?
-
Blue Baker is fine, though naptime is 1-3PM.

FInding good bread has been a challenge. Hubby really likes their version of Italian Bread, so we will often run in when nearby to check on the day old bread. I've got hubby trained now, he works in College Station from time to time, which is where Blue Baker originated. Last week, he came home with two loaves of Day old Italian bread. It's now portioned out and in the freezer, for the next time he wants a sammy. :)

Show of hands, who is available to meet at Blue Baker on 2/4 at 3 PM? Or shall we defer to another time and place?

Thanks! I made the June 24th meetup -- it was awesome :)
Looking forward to the July 8th meetup. Even the group is being frugal by running it as a Facebook group (no money cost) vs a meetup.com group (costs money).
I just joined; I think the Austin FB group is the closest to my area! I'm about 90 miles from Austin, but look forward to a future meetup!
Welcome! 90 miles is quite a distance, but you're probably right that it's the closest to you. I hope you can make it on July 8th and can take the rest of the day to enjoy Austin with the long commute.

I'm in the same boat. I wish we had a group as active as the Austin group in my area.

We just planned another meetup! 3pm on July 22nd at the Cepeda Branch of Austin Public Library. Come join us! The less frugal among us might even go for a beer afterward ;)

Next Event: Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 9 AM – 11 AM
Walk & Talk...Ask & Learn
Turkey Creek Trail
Austin, Texas 78730
It's fall y'all! Let's get outside!
Join our members on a ~3 mile hike in NW Austin. It's one of my favorite trails in the city. Relatively easy, it's mostly shaded with a few inclines and some rocky paths. Unless we get some heavy rain, there won't be any water crossings to deal with. As one of the few parks that allow dogs off leash, feel free to bring your well-behaved fur-friend and don't forget WATER!
We're all here to learn, grow and prosper. Are there questions or issues you need help with on your FI journey? Maybe you need side hustle ideas? Need ways to slash expenses? Ask the team and tap the wealth of knowledge in this community to get you answers and/or guidance. We will spend ~8-10 mins on each topic and depending on attendance, we may have 2 going on at once.
DIRECTIONS:
From 360/Capital of TX Hwy, go west on FM 2222, turn left on City Park Rd. Follow the winding road about 5 miles and stay right at the forks. You will come to a parking lot on your right and that's where the trail starts.
Note Google and Apple maps may be a bit off but entering Emma Long Park in your map will get you on the main road and in the right direction. The trail is before you get to Emma Long Park so there is no park fee.
-
Thanks for posting! Good walk.

Next Event:
Pillars of FI: Side Hustles
Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2 PM – 4 PM
Capital One Café (11801 Domain Blvd., Suite 160, Austin, TX)
One of the pillars of FI is earning more...so you can save more to invest more and FIRE early!
We live in the internet age and making money is easier than ever. You no longer need a degree or certified skills to make good money. With a little grit, creativity and an internet/cell connection, side hustles offer flexibility and unlimited earnings potential. Having multiple income streams is the key to accelerating your path to FI so you don't want to miss this event.
Let's go beyond real estate and credit card/bank bonuses as they have been talked about a lot.
Are you flipping cell phones like Joe, selling crickets or sperm?...let's hear it!
Come listen, learn and share the best ideas. I will offer a prize to the one who WOWs me the most.
Link to the event here but you need to be a member of ChooseFI Austin to view:
