The map shows about 4 of us in this area- would anyone like to plan a meet-up?

I am gone until ~ July 23, another poster may be in the area ~ Aug 16-18. We could start thinking around that time? I'm happy to have a meetup even if there are only a few of us!

I'm interested too. I'm also out of town right now, but I'll be back in the area mid-August. Looking forward to meeting up!

I am back, looking forward to a meetup! Any preferences as to where? I suggest the Sierra Nevada brewery, free, lots of inside/outside space- but am open to any ideas.

I think Sierra Nevada Brewery sounds great. Any ideas on the date? August 25th is particularly good for me, but I'm generally pretty flexible after August 12th.

Moresprinkles was thinking around Aug 16-18. I'm not far from SN, so I'm very flexible

I won't be able to attend this event, but I can confirm that the Sierra Nevada brewery is an amazing place with great service/beer/food.

Now, if you want to support a local business that is a bit more Mustachian in their operations, please consider Sanctuary Brewing in Hendersonville. The beer is excellent and the atmosphere is supremely laid back.

For anyone local, ChooseFI on Facebook also has a relatively new Asheville group. There are about 10 members so far and we are discussing a first meetup, no date yet. The more the merrier if you want to check out that site!

Hey,

I will be in town on Thursday the 16th, but busy with move in stuff. Can we meet on the 17th? Sanctuary or Sierra Nevada is fine with me. Just tell me where to go and what time. I kind of like the idea of supremely laid back as FIRE@50 mentioned.

The 17th is good with me. We can set a time closer to the day. As far as place, I just like SN because it has lots of space, inside and outside in case it rains. I don't eat there, and I don't like beer, so I usually bring my own (water, fruit juice, whatever). I'm not sure what the difference is re: laid-back. I generally just hang out, walk on their trails to the river, listen to the live music, sometimes take a book or computer. The free inside tour is neat if you grew up in the days of Laverne & Shirley. The facility is only about 3 years old, and they have a website if you want to check it out! However, I am open to meeting wherever!

I'll have to get back to you all about the 17th. I probably won't know for sure until that week. I'll be in touch!

Looks like we are on for around 7-ish this Friday, Aug 17 at Sierra Nevada Brewery near the Asheville airport. Since it can be crowded, on Friday I will see what the weather is like and suggest an area either inside or outside where the group can meet. Everyone is welcome, bring friends!

See you there. I hope we can hike on the trail to the river. That sounds like fun.

It should be open if rain hasn't washed out and they've closed it for repairs!

Can this happen again sometime?! I'm in the hickory area and would love to visit Sierra Nevada with some fellow mustachians!

I have moved to another state, but I hope this group keeps growing and I can attend get-togethers if I am in the area!

Now that we're (hopefully) coming out the other side of the Covid pandemic tunnel and the weather's nice -- posting to follow along in case anyone wants to organize a meetup.   Maybe a nice outdoor location that allows beer?
