if there are some Mustachians in the KC area we should organize a group and meet occasionally to share tips/tricks, provide each other some external motivation and enjoy a nice beer with FIRE-minded friends.

Shakespeare in the Park is an option - everyone bring food to picnic, meet early before the show, and then those who want to watch King Lear can do so after the meet up. June 16- July 5th. Not sure if my hubby would go for that, though, as that is traditionally one of our few date nights together.

The Money Museum at the Federal Reserve is free and was thrown out as an option - Liberty Memorial is good, too, for a picnic spot and the museum is good (but not free).

Loose Park (I hear) is beautiful right now as the roses are blooming.

I think someone should pick a date and just go with it, even if it doesn't work for everyone. It'd be nice if we got something set up quarterly so that those who miss this one can go to the next one.

I would be very interested in some sort of Kansas City meetup. It would be great to be able to network with some folks locally of similar mindset.

I see there has been some interest in the KC metro! Have you guys actually met up yet? I'm in the KC metro as well and would love to connect with others with a similar mindset. If meeting is too difficult, perhaps we could connect through a Facebook group? I know I use that site quite a bit....

HEY KANSAS CITY PEOPLE! We have a local mustachian who is organizing a meetup for us very soon! The meetup is currently scheduled at Loose Park on Oct 1st at 5:00 pm. We have a closed Facebook group called Mustachians KC if you are interested in joining and getting more details from the organizer. We hope to see many people there!
