Fellow Irish man here just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself.  I'm Darren 32 from Dublin but living in the more mustachian town of Mullingar lol. My method of achieving freedom is to overpay my mortgage , max out the tax advantages of my pension and invest the rest in low cost etfs. I'd like to get to know any irish people in a similar boat and how they are doing it. Cheers guys

Welcome to the community! Sounds like you've a plan afoot & are making headway. Fair play. While I periodically describe my plans on here, I also then revise them regularly as I change my mind or find out about something else. My current debate is whether to just reinsulate the roof, or insulate it, put in a vapour barrier & install a HRV system

You're probably pretty solid though, being aware is a big first step, and here it's hard to go wrong with big pension & mortgage contributions. I'm being naively optimistic that by the time I get to etfs the procedures & rules will be rationalised a bit better, but let's see

Hi All,

New Irish Mustachian here. Probably wont make the next meeting as I'm currently away for work but would love to join one in the winter. Is there a FB group or whatsapp group or anything?

Thanks.

Hi there,

New to the forum, though I've known about MMM for a while now, it never crossed my mind to look for fellow mustachians in Dublin on this forum until now! I'll be happy to tag along to the next meeting.

Cheers

Hi,

I'm also new to the forum.

I live adout in Celbridge and would also like to attend a meetup. I propose that whomever's house has the lowest BER has to buy the first round :)

Is today's meeting still on? If you see someone disoriented on O'Reilly's be kind :)

Yes. Usually we are to the right when you come in. I'll be there possibly before 6 and am wearing a grey shirt. Colm.
