This kills me! I only have one thing planned while I am here... One thing! This weekend, I'll be up in Wickenburg for the bluegrass festival... And on Sunday I'll be competing in the guitar contest. So it looks like I'll miss the meetup. Maybe I'll have better luck in the spring.

Sorry Brian, I wasn't aware that this date would not work for you.

I'll keep the 11/11 one for now, as I cross posted in several places and don't want to confuse people.

There were several folks in the FB group interested in another one. How long will you be in town for?
I'd be happy to call another one (or attend one, that someone else is organising). We'll be here through Jan 1, but will be out of town Dec 12-27

We'll be there for the meet up this Sunday the 11th.  Looking forward to meeting everyone.

We'd be up for attending a few more meet ups while we are here in the area.

There will be a Meetup at Paneras in Tempe Marketplace next Sunday at 2pm.  More details when I'm on the computer and not my phone.

Thanks to everyone who came today!
It was awesome meeting you all!
I have had a couple of requests over in the FB group for another one, so I'll be looking into early December
and will post once we know!
If anyone else wants to call that, somewhere else, I'll be game too.
I know Mesa is ways out for many of you!

Ok, dates and address:  Next Sunday, November 18, at Paneras in Tempe Marketplace, 2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281 at (around?) 2pm.

We tend to have more folks around between snowbirds and school breaks in November and December so it makes sense to have more frequent meetups.  Also schedules can be difficult to line up this time of year.

I don't think we'll be there this time. We were offered free tickets to the Cardinals game and it'll be my son's first football game.

Football before meetups?!?  Well, ok.

Tomorrow is the Arizona Ironman.  I will be threading my way down part of the route coming down from Payson.  Be aware that things may be a bit chaotic.

Tomorrow at Tempe Marketplace at 2:00.

I have an event to attend in the morning and then will head back home to get DH, before heading over to Tempe.
Considering that, plus traffic, we might be late, but we are planning on being there!
Looking forward to seeing you all.

Thinking about having another meetup at the RV resort in Mesa on either Sat 8 or Sunday 9.
If we can do an afternoon thing, like 1:30 or 2ish, I can get that outside area again.
Anyone up for this?
Any preference regarding Sat or Sun?

Some people suggested last time that we could BBQ instead of bringing snacks,
which is fine by me. The BBQs are there, we tested them yesterday, so they work.
But we all literally have to bring EVERYTHING, as this is a common area that has no supplies
and we don't have plates and stuff for a bunch of folks.

I am happy to do either.
Will head to the activity office to make a reservation tomorrow.
Let me know if there's date preference between 8 or 9th.

I'm also game for either day. BBQ sounds nice, but snacks are always good (is Mustsnackianism a real thing? If so, I'd read that blog, too!) See ya'll again soon! :)

Mustsnackianism is a movement, I could totally get behind!!

Let's plan on a NON BBQ then and just hang and snack.

I have had something come up on the 8th, so now would prefer the 9th, if that's ok with you guys.

The people at the resort have been a bit difficult with letting me make a reservation this time (they now want deposits and stuff),
so I have to go back on Monday to sort it out.

Let's plan on Sunday 9th at 1:30 in Mesa.

Depending on how many we are, we can just meet at our spot instead or I'll see if I can get the common area worked out.

My experience living there was that as more of the regular residents came back the more the rules were adhered to for the common spaces.

I am an idiot, I totally forgot I already had a commitment on the 9th.
Looking to see if I can wiggle stuff around on the Saturday instead.
If not, we'll have to figure out something else. Duh, sorry!

Ok, it's on for Saturday.
Let's say 1:30 on Sat. 8th in Mesa.

Can I get a headcount, so we can decide whether to reserve a common area or stay at our spot.

Cross Streets are Lindsay and Main.

OK, we'll see you all tomorrow then.
1:30 We are in spot A175, towards the back of the park, a good way past the community center, where we met last time
Message me if you are lost.

If you have a foldable chair, please bring it and bring a snack to share if you'd like.
I think we'll be a pretty small group, but we can always go to a common area if we run out of space.

Hey Phoenix Mustachians! My wife and I recently moved back to Phoenix and we're thrilled to be learning more about this lifestyle and FI. Excited for any future meetups - in the meantime if anyone wants to get together for a drink and trade secrets, we'd love to.

We're in Central/ Uptown/ 16th St and Bethany Home area.

Cheers!

Hi Everyone! I never looked on the meet up thread before and I love talking about FIRE plans so I thought I'd set a meet up to meet some like minded folks.

It looks like Panera worked last time so I'll keep it there, but I think Tempe beach park could be fun if we want to move it.

Sunday, April 28, 2109 at 1pm Rescheduled
Panera Bread - Tempe Marketplace, 2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281[/b][/size]

I hope someone shows up. I would really like to make some FIRE friends in real life. :)

Howdy! We are likewise excited to talk with other like-minded folks, as we're tired of blank stares from friends! We can't make this one however, but it would be cool if this could turn into some kind of monthly thing. Cheers!

I can't make it at that time.  I can do anytime on Saturday (27th), or on Sunday before noon.

In other news, I am also tired of people thinking that I'm a weird minimalist that hates fun...
