I'm going to go ahead and throw some ideas out for places to meet and we can come up with a date.

For me, any day(besides Thursday) works after 7pm. Weekends are a bit more hectic due to family, car repairs and house renovations. So a weekday would work best, but I'm down for whatever.

Fairview-
El Arepazo - Colombian/Salvadorian food.  Great food at great prices and usually slow during the week.

Fairview-
Sauced Pizza - ordered from there before and it's quite good. Not cheap but better than crappy $5 pizza. No alcohol.

Cleveland-
Platform Brewery. Cool place. Mainly $5 pints.

Lakewood-
Buckeye Beer Engine. Also a cool place with decent food and a good selection of brews.

There are, of course, a thousand other places we could meet. I'm just throwing ideas out there for anyone to chime in and get the ball rolling.

El Arepazo sounds great to me - I have never been there.

To summarize all suggestions, what do people think about:
6:30-9pm, at El Arepazo, Monday, April 17?

If we put something on the calendar, we are more likely to get together :)

If anyone is super eager to join but absolutely cannot make this time, please suggest alternatives.

I imagine that after getting to know each other at El Arepazo, we all may want to do something more mustache-an, like a picnic in a metro park in summer

I'll pencil in that day. Will double check with DW.
And yes, El Arepazo has really good food ;)

I'm over on East side, so the proposed location is a little far for me, but not sure I could make it next month anyway.  Work is quite busy.  Maybe most of the people on the forum are West siders.

As another suggestion, it might be possible to book a conference room at a library which would be free.  Just an idea for possible spots

I would be OK if we meet at one of public libraries - that would be in the MMM spirit :)

And I am also on the East side. It is not ideal for me to meet on the West side, but I would do it.

I will pencil it in as well for 4/17 and see if anything changes as we get closer.

I live within walking distance of this restaurant so I have no excuse to not go. East siders, it's not hard at all to reach as long as there aren't any traffic jams.

Take I480W
Get off at the Clague Rd. Exit.
Make a right on Clague Rd.
Make a right on Lorain Rd.
Watch our for W228th St. on you right.
Make a right on W228th St. It is on the corner of Lorain and W228th.

If there is no parking behind the restaurant, you can park on W228th St. It is residential.

I'm down to go to a library or the restaurant. Either one works for me.

I'll be honest and say it will be kind of unusual to meet a bunch of strangers in a library, reason being that it's a quiet/formal place and any awkwardness will not be easily masked as it would in a more opened locale.  Kind of like the first day of school in your homeroom class as opposed to the playground.

But seriously, I'm down for either one.

I was thinking the same thing and I disagree with he folks who say meeting at a restaurant is anti-MMM. Unless the meal is way outside our normal spending and doesn't become a daily occurrence I think it falls into the "ok" category.
