Any helpful portfolio contribution calculators out there?
« on: April 06, 2016, 11:40:05 AM »
I am trying to find a calculator that will help me figure out how much to contribute to each of my mutual funds/etf's each month according to my asset allocation.

I know I could calculate this myself, but if there is a simple tool out there that would make things much easier, especially when it comes time to rebalance.  I searched for one but wasn't able to find what I am looking for.

I haven't seen an online calculator like that, but it wouldn't be too tough to do in Excel.  I've got it set up for my asset allocation.  If I get to tinkering, I could maybe add something like that to my calculator page. It gets complicated the more you break down the classes, though.  For example, I have a desired allocation for emerging markets and developed international markets. VTIAZX has something like 18% emerging markets.  Then I tax loss harvest into VFWAX, and I have to make adjustments.
