VTSAX dividend

Looks like Q1 dividends are down about 21% compared to Q1 last year (0.2965 vs 0.3736).

I'm surprised it dropped that fast and I assume its because a lot of the smaller companies have suspended their dividends.

Formerly high dividend stocks may have dropped more than non-dividend stocks.* That will really put dividend-retirees in a bind.

* I'm not going to run the numbers. Maybe later.

Well it doesn't pay a consistent dividend each quarter anyway.  And I don't know that comparing the same quarter from a previous year means anything either.  My brokerage has an income estimater and it often projects dividend income for a certain month a year from now to be different, sometimes substantially, than for the same month this year.

EX Div.
12/22/19 $0.43
09/12      $0.34
06/13      $0.26
03/21      $0.37
12/20/18 $0.35

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
