Traditional IRA contribution question
« on: February 11, 2014, 08:15:16 AM »
Hello,

I recently opened a T IRA at NCFU, I was hoping to add money to it but it isnt allowing me to add, saying that it will only allow a min of $500 contribution.  Is this correct or is there something I am missing?  Thanks!

Which IRA Product do you have assigned? The only thing I can find is that there are different products offered by NCFU, and the Variable Rate IRA Certificates have a Minimum contribution of $500.

I'm not sure how it is structured since I don't have an account with them... but can you change your current distributions to go toward the IRA Savings Account or is this already set by default? I can't find anything else regarding a minimum contribution limit.

You can try calling in to them 1-888-842-6328 or 'visit your local branch'
