Homer had it all figured out.  Sure the bacon cost $27, yielding only $0.63 in grease, but Marge paid for that.

My wife worked for people like that.   Literally.  They owned a concrete factory that they had inherited.

One of them would sneak onto the factory grounds and steal a $20,000 piece of equipment and sell it for $1,000, and be happy because they make $1,000 their brothers didn't.    Apparently, several of them were like this.

The wife of one of them died working out in their garden at home.  They called the factory manager to come over and take care of it.  He couldn't be bothered.

They were walking human scum and the only reason for their success was that they inherited it.   Just checked and the factory has been renamed, so probably sold off.

My Faith in Humanity Top was definitely in before I read this

So, if we have 3 positive days in a row, does that mean the Top Is in or the Bottom Is In? I feel like something is happening right now and I don't want to miss out.

So confused...

I thought the last 193 pages were trying to figure out whether or not the top is in. Are you saying I could have just read the title and stopped there?

I’m going to have so much more free time now!

My post before the market opened Tuesday was followed by two down days of the S&P 500.  To correct my earlier post... the top was in!

Isn't this thread kinda pointless seeing as the top was around 4800 and change sometime last year.

I mean EVERYBODY KNOWS the S&P 500 will never be that high ever again right?

I'll certainly be more worried the next time SP500 goes above 4700. Hard to know whether the Rapture will occur (making me one of the left behind, so to speak), or an epic market crash, or a shift into a different dimension. Maybe nuclear war will end all human life. Your premise is of course a given, it's the consequences that I wonder about.

I read awhile back on Wall Street Bets that the heat death of the universe is already priced into the market so I’m feeling pretty confident.

I mean just how many "Clarence Thomas" vacations can I squeeze in between now and then?

On a related note, could someone please post the OP in WSB? I'd like to compare and contrast the responses across our very different demographics.

Every day is “Top is in” on WSB and it is hilarious.

Recent funny moment when someone posted a chart of inflation dropping in Spain and predicted 2% inflation in the US pronto. Best comment: “Ah yes, the famously similar Spanish and US economies.”

Fair. I mostly ignored the whole thing as the bubble blew up except to talk a few friends out of “investing” in anything related to it.

I discovered a new to me YouTube finance channel recently and it’s been fun listening to a college professor and professional investor lampoon them with his dry British humor as I work through the back catalog.

Correct! As a bonus my six week old seems to find his voice agreeable. As long as I don’t actually laugh as he starts falling asleep it’s a top notch combo.
