I wonder when the children in Congress will stop playing chicken with economy of the developed world this time round?
That's what we pay them for. Are you not entertained?

When we vote enough of those rat-bastards out of office and those few left get the clue they're next if they don't shape up.

Which means probably never, given nearly half the nation support or enabless those goobers.

You dare to imply that mere politics can influence something so eternal as the top? You think that under wiser governance, the fickle market would rise?

Fret not, the top is in regardless.

Not only do we keep them in office, we actively reward them for engineering these crises. That's why they keep doing it. All that would be required to prevent it happening would be for reporters to stop reporting on it.

That being said, they won't, so we have seen the top and it is in.

It looks like the S&P 500 hit bull market levels (4292.438) earlier today - meaning up 20% from a recent low... is that it? Is the longest bear market since 1948 over? Is the Top In? Is it all downhill from here?!?!!!111

For most of June, CNN Fear & Greed Index has been stuck at "extreme greed".
https://edition.cnn.com/markets/fear-and-greed

But there's an even rarer, extreme signal of a market top: I bought individual stocks last week.  I'm 2 for 2 in "reversion to the mean" after buying individual stocks in the past two years.
"Stock picking top is in"

All-time nominal high. It's probably there with dividends reinvested.

I think the dividend yield of the S&P is something like 1.6%, so two years of dividends isn't near enough to get you 7%.
