Salmon is the most important ingredient in lox. Dare I say it?

Lox top is IN!

Most rocket engineers agree the LOX is TOPped off.  Just watched a Spacex launch.

*LOX  is Liquid OXygen, one of the most common propellants (oxidizer) in rockets.

Just remember to add the LOX after starting the grill rather than before:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sab2Ltm1WcM

Yep, the title of video is dangerously misleading.   as you said LIGHT the grill before getting liquid oxygen anywhere near it, even if you are living dangerously (otherwise you might not be living at all).

I've never checked the math, but I recall from the disclaimer the first time i saw that video years ago, one briquet soaked in LOX lights off like 1/4 stick of TNT...
Sounds about right.

This is a very educational thread.

You definitely can't get any more educational than this thread when it comes to the fine art and science of market timing.

Salmon top is usually in early June with prices declining as more and more fish have been caught. Now is the time to invest in blueberry and caribou futures.

I can verify that the blueberry top is in.  I picked 8lbs of blueberries in one day off my bushes a couple weeks ago, and now they're slowing to a trickle as the season winds down.  I would definitely go with the caribou.

You must be south of me. Our blue berries are just hitting the ripe phase now and won't reach peak tastiness until they get a good freeze in a couple of weeks.

Definitely way way south of Alaska.  We are north of you on alphabetical lists of states, though.

Here the idea of a freeze in August is just incomprehensible.

August frost is only for the mountains around this part of the state. By late August my father who lives in the interior will be covering his garden on clear night to give it a couple more weeks of life and his local blue berries will be about perfect. It’s easier to find the berries once the leaves turn red and yellow too.

We are so near the all time S&P 500 top. It almost makes you think this rise could go on forever, with only teeny tiny interruptions.

But nah. Top is in!

I'm not just being snarky.  If you are comparing household NW to individual NW, there are going to be discrepancies.

@dragoncar  I prefer it when you are snarky! Its my first language.

First run at first was at household level. Divorce blew that up just as I reached it. Household top was in!!

Now I have various things to settle from the divorce and a small alimony payment to work into my spreadsheet for a few years.

I am in a household again. Combined we have enough to quit but its too complicated to do that and we aren't combining investment accounts etc (just the house we live in) so i get to calculate and work it all out on my own.
For that however individual top is in!!

Either way top is in.

Wasn't that always the answer?

I think that conclusion is a bit fishy.  Whether Q3 takes a bit out of your portfolio depends on how big a net of stocks you own, and what your long-term porpoise is. The seas might be rough for a while, and its calmer if you just stay down in the trenches.  Don’t get salty and remember that the patient investor is the biggest fish in the sea.

You can make a tuna money in the market if you do it right.    Fish stock's the best, better than beef or poultry stocks.

Question:  since shark top is in, does that mean that we (and our portfolios) are chum?

I think that conclusion is a bit fishy.  Whether Q3 takes a bit out of your portfolio depends on how big a net of stocks you own, and what your long-term porpoise is. The seas might be rough for a while, and its calmer if you just stay down in the trenches.  Don’t get salty and remember that the patient investor is the biggest fish in the sea.

You can make a tuna money in the market if you do it right.    Fish stock's the best, better than beef or poultry stocks.

On the other hand, because local tradesmen don't wear masks, I've haddock with renovating houses for the moment.

Ladies and gentlemen.  Does this look like a market that's gone up as far as it can go?
