It's an adaption of Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness moved to Vietnam during the war.  Agreed it's a great film - Brando's insane portrayal of Kurtz is something he never topped.  Martin Sheen's character is pretty insane too.  Hell, the whole movie is a study in insanity.

I find it hilarious that some people on this forum have been advocating dumping all stocks since 2013.  I bet they're kicking themselves now.

Stay the course, people!  Keep your asset allocation constant through the ups AND the downs.  Always be buying, no matter what happens, because you never know when the next corner will arrive.

Personally, I'm hoping for a dramatic stock pullback in the near future just to ease the emotional tension from skyrocketing prices.  I'll feel better once it's over and I don't have to steel my resolve against the next recession.

Apparently steeling your resolve against skyrocketing prices can be difficult too.  It's getting tough to keep convincing myself to keep buying in.  I hope the market gives us working stiffs a break soon, but who knows when that will actually happen.
