I know I've cumulatively spent at least a few hours of my life scrolling past AI search results and dismissing prompts to enable AI features in applications that don't need AI over the last couple of years.

Between the energy waste, time waste, and LLMs ability to deliver confident sounding bullshit to people who don't want to double check anything, I would say AI has been a net negative for humanity.
