Poor suckers thought they were going to end the day with more money, this morning it was up-now its just down down down....... The 23 May 2024 TOP, IS IN!

I think they're referring to the Fear/Greed index which I think is put out by the New York Times on their website. I looked at how it's built once and it seems to be just a mediocre momentum indicator which is of zero use to me.

SP500 was at 4742 at the beginning of the year.
It is now at 5277 (11% higher).
We have 147 trading days left in 2024, out of 251 (58% to go!).
So, I can confidently predict the top will be at the end of 2025 and it will be at 6015!

On Dec 31 I’m selling everything and burying cash in the backyard in coffee cans.

Everyone knows that when the fiat currency based investments tank that crypto is the only truly secure store of wealth. The top is never in when you have diamond hands!

Not to worry. Today I hedged my QQQ-centric portfolio, taking advantage of lopsided pricing in the options market during these low-VIX times (i.e. calls being much more expensive than puts at an equal distance from today's price).

My trades can only mean stocks will return +30% in the next 12 months. This has always been the pattern when I've hedged in the past and while this thread has been contemplating whether the Top is In. Both conditions are true today. To the moon we you all go.
