Top is in, so far US markets are down all of 2024. Looking forward to the Soft landing, Airbrakes?

We could send this intermediary money so they don't have to work and can communicate with thorstach all day. We could meet on the weekends to receive the intermediary's message. If @Phenix doesn't want the job, I could do it. It's my best hope to FIRE now that the top is in.

You certainly make more money as a leader of a cult, but the real fun is being a member.
Whenever someone gives me the middle finger I take that as 'top is in' and respond knowingly with a reciprocal middle finger. Only for the truly enlightened.
Secret middle finger handshake.
Quote from: techwiz on January 09, 2024, 11:54:23 AMSecret middle finger handshake. Can't tell. Are the middle fingers going up or down? Is the middle finger top in?

Is the middle finger top in?We must be careful with the handshake. The first finger clearly shows a slight decline from the top while the second finger is showing a positive slope. Thankfully it cuts off just below the first finger, not surpassing the original top. This example is acceptable, but not the image we're looking for in a handshake.

When top is in, lose everything, you must.

Top is in
Well it was a good run. New intraday all-time high for the S&P. Probably closing too. The top is decidedly NOT in.

it's clear the top is in and the top is always in!
Unfortunately if we consider inflation (~11.7%) since Jan 2022, the S&P would need to hit ~5,356 to match the previous top adjusted for inflation. Inflate the top!
Wondering if I should do my "every-few-months" or so spreadsheet update to see how my overall financial picture looks. It may look good now, but with the top being in, I don't want to be disappointed in a few months when I do it again...
Spotted in the wild. I think the algorithm is trying to tell me something:

Tomorrow can't be better by definition so there is no risk in being happy now.
